I would be afraid, but I think I would try it. My daughter did it last summer and said it was insanely fun. But then again, she has always been fearless and extremely outgoing. And is only 24, haha.

Now bungee jumping is another story, you would have to push me off the platform, I wouldn't have the nerve to jump.

Weird that it is more if you pay in advance, but then I guess you don't have to wait in line? It sounds like a blast to me and I would do it. Cheap, too. I ziplined through the Costa Rica jungle and my only complaint is you went too fast to see anything. I really wanted to see a toucan, but you really just "zip" through.

We went to Indy for the big 10 championship game and I loved the city. People were really friendly and we drove in on (I believe) Meridien with the most gorgeous homes. It reminded me of the mansions along Chicago's north shore, or in Kenilworth. If I lived there I would want to participate in all the fun. It sounds exciting.

I wish I could, but I would not. My fear of heights would do me in.

Katlan, bungee jumping would either kill me or embarrass me.

I would zipline thru and over something beautiful and natural, but I'm not too interested in seeing buildings and man-made things. And the weather would factor in, too, for me. I don't want to zip and freeze to death doing it! :) I'm a warm-weather person.

I think it would be really bad to be raining, or freezing rain and snow and zip along! No bungee jumping for me! I don't believe they are having that there. Yes, Indianapolis has a lot of things going for it.

I still haven't figured out why anyone would want to bungee jump. I would love to zipline. The only ziplining I've done is at cub scout camp, but I enjoyed it and would do something higher.

I, too, would love to zipline. Living at the beach, I see people parasailing all the time, which is something else I would love to do. DH might would zipline but he would never parasail. bungee jumping? Nope, never! LOL

My grandfather put up a zip line in their backyard when all the grand kids were little. Not sure what the wire was, probably some kind of aircraft wiring. He attached some sort of pully-wheel and tied a plastic chair (minus the legs) to the wheel with some sort of rope. We would have one uncle or Granddaddy pull us to the end and another uncle would stand at the other end to catch us before we hit the tree. All of us who were around then have great memories of it.

No I could not do it, I saw a woman get her hair caught in the pullies as it was blowing everywhere, basically scalped her., don't remember where I saw it, but it was terrible.

When I was in the Air Force I atteneded the DoD Photo/Journalism/Public Affairs School at Ft. Benjamin Harrison which was not far out of the Indianapolis area. I was there about six months the first time, and attended several other schools and seminars, lasting from three weeks to a couple of months each, during my nine years of active duty. I love, love, love the Indianapolis area.

I drove through Indianapolis on my mega-trip last spring. I wanted to go to the Ft. Ben area and spend a day or two. Still, knowing the post has closed, I knew it would break my heart to see empty buildings and absent friends.

I attended one of the "500" races with a military day pass so no areas were off limits. Got some great photos in the pits. It was all so exciting. And, being my first glimpse of a "city," after being raised in northern Arkansas, Indy blew my socks off. I went to so many museums, and events, and night clubs, and shopping.

Yes; it was great.

Not NO, but HELL NO!!!!!!!!

When I was a 15yr old kid back on the farm my cousin and I found a 300ft length of 1/2" steel cable hanging in the shop and we got the brainstorm to make a zip line. We grabbed the cable and a couple clamps and headed to the woods where we strung the cable across a bit hollow. When we went looking for a pulley all we could find was a pulley designed for 2" rope, but when your a kid, that s close enough. I hung the pulley on the rope, then I got a stick about 2" in diameter and three feet long, which I attached to the pulley with bailer twine to make a seat. I then sat on the seat, gripped the bailer twine for dear life and let her go...zooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom, only as I was rapidly approaching the tree at the bottom at about 40mph I realized, I had no brakes and sure enough,,,Whaaam, I hit the tree hard enough to knock the wind out of me...

Well we weren't about to let anything as stupid as the lack of brakes from thwarting our effort, so we got an old burlap sack and wrapped it around the cable near the end, figuring the burlap would get jammed up in the pulley and serve as a brake, which it did very nicely,,,however, what we had not taken into consideration was that on the first pass my weight had pulled all the slack out of the line where it wrapped around the trees and this time it was sagging a bit lower on the finish end, which I soon discovered as it drug my butt through a blackberry bush at about 40mph, totally tearing the rear end out of my bluejeans, along with a substantial part of my backside.

And if that was not bad enough, after I finally hobbled my tore up butt to the house I tried to sneak upstairs to change my jeans before Mom found out, only when I started up the stairs, Mom was right behind me, and she could not help noticing a raw bloody mess where the backside of my jeans was supposed to be. She made me lay face down on the bed and had my cousin bring a bucket of warm water, then Mom cleaned up the mess to see how bad I was hurt and for the next hour she sat there with a pair of tweezers digging blackberry thorns out of my butt.

Believe me,,,I have had a lifetime supply of riding zip lines....LOL

Probably not in Indianapolis but in the country somewhere, or jungle maybe. I don't like heights but 80 ft wouldn't be horrible as long as I didn't look down. I do ok on ski lifts as long as I don't look straight down.

Since I did a 1000 foot zipline last May, yeah. I'd do that littler one....

The zipline is not the tough part... climbing vertically up the pole is!

Moonie, the zipline tour was about 5 or 6 different different lines. You would zip down to a platform, then zip from that platform to the next, then on and on. Then the tour company picked you up at the end and bussed you back up. It was fun.

Maui has several ziplines. One is on the flank of Haleakala, Maui's semi-dormant volcano. Another is in the West Maui mountains. Between my asthma and two artificial hips...no, I think zipping is not in the cards for this senior.

As a kid my favorite carnival ride was the Tilt-A-Whirl. When I gleefully tried the Teacups at Disney in middle age, I got sick as a dog.

I made three parachute jumps one Summer, that was a rush!
I've always thought that bungee jumping would be great, too. Then a few weeks ago I saw video of the lady in Africa someplace bungee jumping and the bungee broke! she survived but was really banged up. Maybe if a real heavy guy went first and it held him then I'd go. As long as he wasn't so heavy as to almost break it......

Yes, absolutely I would do it. Our whole family did the zipline in Gatlinburg last year and loved it - what a rush. Life is too short - if you get the chance to do it go for it!
