Raw milk

I may have found a source for raw "pet" milk and cheese made from raw milk. I've been curious about trying raw milk, both for drinking and for making cheese (which I've never done with any kind of milk.) So, what are the pros and cons of raw milk? The cons I've heard are that it spoils quickly and of course, a higher risk of salmonella, or whatever food poisoning is associated with it. The pros are that it may be more nutritious? Have fewer chemicals? Taste better? This milk and cheese is supposed to come from a certified organic dairy farmer. Oh, and another con would be price - $5.00 a gallon for the milk, $5.00 for 8 oz. of the cheese.
