I stocked up on the Bath & Body Works clearance that ran the week before New Year's. In addition to the regular sales, our store is an Outlet and had TERRIFIC bargains(50-percent off the 75-percent reduced price). So technically I shouldn't need lotion until fall. But they have such good smelling stuff, I'm sure I'll stop by the store before then!

Not really. I couldn't afford to spend any more money after Christmas. I did get a 6 ft blow up Santa for the yard next Christmas, to add to the Snowmen I picked up on clearance after Christmas last year. What can I say? Nick loves those things. It was normally $35 and I paid $9 and change.

Just last night I found a putter that I've wanted for half price and free shipping. I'm ecstatic. (Of course, it's not the putter, but the puttee....sigh.)

Stores didn't put as much stuff out this year so at they didn't have great sales like in years past. Target did have 90% off of Christmas items yesterday. They had a large selection for that price. I was disappointed because they are all made in China. I did buy a few things to donate next year and I got some ornaments for the new tree I plan to get next year.

I'm checking today to see if Pier 1 has reduced their prices. I saw some glass blown ornaments that would look in my kid's bathroom window.

I found a good deal on flannel pajamas....buy 3 get the 4th one free. They were on sale for $5.00 each, so I got them for the granddaughters for next year.

At our Hobby Lobby I got some nice heavy duty wrapping paper rolls at 50% off.

I'm too cold to go out shopping except for essentials. This is my year of purging instead of buying. Habitat for Humanity has been here twice and next it's clothes for a church-run thrift shop down the road. After that, the file boxes get cleaned out. Did the kitchen last summer when we had the new countertops put in.

It sure feels good! My sister Sara used to say if she couldn't wear it or eat or drink it, she didn't need it. My new mantra!!

I haven't been doing much shopping, but I did order a couple large clocks from Kohls during the Buy 1, Get 1 sale. I had a 20% off coupon plus free shipping too. Good deal, not sure if it qualifies as a bargain. I should be getting the clocks anyday now... hopefully I'll think they were a bargain when I see them. :-)

I bought a few things from coldwatercreek.com. Everything is still on sale for 70 percent off, but it's probably a little picked over by this time. Like you, Lydia, I'll find out if I got any bargains when the stuff comes and I try it on.

I'm all for purging, Patti (and should do a lot more of it!), but your new mantra would have you getting rid of all your furniture. Not to mention my cameras! :-)

I had some $10 certificates from Kohl's (results of my pre-Christmas shopping spree with my 30% off coupon). I got Paula Deen's $40.00 coffee percolator for $9.00 and a couple of large,soft fleecy throws for 5.98 each (normal price was $39.99.) We are using them on chilly nights as we sit in our recliners watching TV. We've even turned the thermostat down a few degrees! Bettye/AZ

Last week-end I posted on a good deal on a 10 piece frame set I got. It was the same deal BOGO free, so got 20 assorted frames for $40 and 10% off also.

Checking on line due to snow and icky traffic in Minot. Just because a person has a 4x4 does not mean drive fast. Yea right!!!
But the stores here don't have much.

I have only gone grocery shopping snnce Christmas, got a free bottle of cranberry juice cocktail and a free bag of baby carrots/BOGO. Do groceries count?

I offered to exchange/return some items of clothing for my family so I was able to look around. I didn't buy anything for myself because there just isn't anything. Well I do need a new pair of boots to wear in the snow but I wasn't in the mood to wait for a salesperson to get them so that I could try them on. I wish shoe departments were more self service.

But my downfall was going into the Christmas decoration department at Macy's and Boscovs. I don't think I've ever outgrown stuffed animals because I bought 3 Santas. Did I need 3 more Santas you might ask? Well the answer is yes, obviously. At Macy's I purchased 2 that were about 18" tall to go on one side of the mantel to balance the nutcrackers that are on the other side. I think they were 50% off then an additional 15%.

But at Boscov's I found a really wonderful old fashioned looking Santa that must be over 30" tall for the landing in the foyer. He was originally $129. and marked down 75%. When I took him to the cashier the price came up as $25- which was 80% off. So I happily brought him home and he's now welcoming everyone who comes inside.

I got some Hallmark ornaments for 75% off. Other than that, no big deals.

I knew I could count on my KT bargain finders.

I got several $30-$40 sweaters at Penney's for $10 each. Also got two new Christmas trees for next year for 1/2 off. I did get a wine bag 1/2 off at Pottery Barn. I liked it & it was cute, but I wasn't willing to buy it full price at $10. I decided to splurge when it went to $5. I wasn't at all lucky this year with after-Christmas sales on decorations & ornaments. Target still had some nice stuff after Christmas for a great price, but none of it was colors I needed. Same with Michael's. Home Goods, Jo-Ann's & Wal-Mart were basically sold out before Christmas. Oh well, hopefully they'll have really good sales again this year before Christmas. I got a lot of things there for 1/2 off around Thanksgiving.

Bath & Body Works is about it. I've been saving for a year for a cruise to the Bahamas with two girlfriends. We leave in less than two weeks, so all of my money has gone into my cruise fund!

Found the Biggest Loser for Wii for $19.99 at Target. Couldn't even find it that cheap online.

Bought myself a Makita drill just like the one I have because it was on sale, and it came with 2 new batteries. It turned out to be cheaper than I could buy the 2 new batteries that I already needed.
