They have some great bamboo items in their flash sale today, I just ordered a tray and salad hands to go with a set of place mats and salad bowls that I paid a bunch for last fall. They also have an iPad 1, 64GB Wifi/3G (I think it is AT&T) if anyone is interested. It's refurbished but it is only $399 if you don't mind an older edition, quite a bargain.

Lynn, thanks. I like baboo stuff. Are the placemats washable? Or how do you wash them? Would you use them for kids?

Ravencajun, I would like some advice if you don't mind. My sister needs to replace her old desktop computer. She is thinking she would like a laptop. She needs something basic and simple. Her vision is very poor and her hands are very crippled. All she needs or wants to do is email, facebook, her online banking and some shopping. I just wipe them off, they are like little stick blinds (for lack of a better description). I don't have kids but I would use them if I did. I like bamboo as well but it is so expensive now that it is 'in'.

Thanks, lynn -- even if I don't get these, I may have to try them from somwhere else. I either have to wash my tablecloth after each meal or I use ugly plastic type place mats-- so the bamboo would be a nice change.

Very good price on that iPad if you don't care if it has a camera, which I don't. I paid more than that for my 16 gb one, also refurbished.
