If you are seeing leaf nodes develop, and the plant passes the scratch test, it sounds like you have a live one. The leaves, however were probably already goners when you bought them, and so are doing what dead camellia leaves do- look fine for a bit then gradually dry out, turn brown (or yellow) and eventually fall off. Camellias do everything verrry slowly, but if you have leaf nodes, you should soon see leaves- spring is the season for camellias to put out new foliage. Don't expect your camellia to look great for at least another year or two- it has had a bad shock to the system. Although you sound like you've given it a home that it should do well in, it needs to first get its root system situated in a new location, and then get serious about leafing out and then flowering. First things first, but if you're seeing signs of life, you just need to be patient and let it get on with its recovery from the cold damage. You might be tempted to fertilize in the spring, but organic matter like compost or cottonseed meal or liquid seaweed might be a better choice. What I would avoid doing is giving the plant anything with much nitrogen- it needs to spend some time getting its roots established in its new home, and nitrogen won't help with that and may undermine the process. Some mulch can help the plants stay evenly moist and keep the pH on the acidic side- do you have access to pine straw/bark or another good organic mulch? Going by what you've said, the plants should recover, but a little patience will be needed.

Stamps can be large an ugly and therefore seem distracting when windows are first installed. But in most cases, the window treatments hide them and they become non-issues. And just as the rep from the OP's window company assured her, even when window treatments aren't used, the stamps are still not very noticeable even in direct sunlight. What continues to be "normal" is for stamps to be located either right-side up or up-side down. I see it all the time in all makes of windows by all manufacturers. This orientation of the stamps has no effect on the performance of the window. Occaisionally, however, we do see stamps that are 'reversed' which as ERLA and others have noted, can mean problems and a true 'defect' if Low-E glass is involved and now the low e coating is on the wrong side. This rarely happens however, and is not the case with the windows in this thread. ------------------- The bottom line is that just because a stamp may be upside down does not mean there is anything 'wrong' with the window. It just means that the pane was oriented differently when assembled. Also, just because the stamps appear quite large also does not meean there is anything wrong with the window. These are both 'normal' and 'common' variations. It is also quite normal, for one when first observing newly installed items to have one's eye drawn to certain items (like stamps) which over time simply become less noticeable to the point of being 'invisible'. In this instance and since the owner simply didn't like the orientation of the stamp, the window rep appears willing to replace them.... just to satisfy the customer. That's the window ower's perogative to request and the window manufacturer's perogative to replace if requested and willing. The windows otherwise are not 'defective'. Hope the OP/customer ends up happy and re-assured. In 30+ years as builder and inspector, I have never heard anyone ever complain about stamps on windows. That's the only unusual thing about this entire situation.

He is a professional HVAC guy they have been in business for generations, father and son etc. They have worked on our heat and ac since we moved here. And most of my neighbors. He has been trouble shooting the problem, and has tried all of that. In fact he even called in another HVAC person he knows from another company. Mike thanks, he only changed that part once and it was because I asked him to. I Appreciate that. Of course he didn't ask his customer to troubleshoot for him. I did that all on my own because I thought perhaps there would be Nice helpful people here on this forum that would actually have a real suggestion. I have been on various GW forums for years and years, I have worked on the computer help forum and others, I volunteer my help on many other very professional computer help forums.
