I've always used Maybelline. When I had one through Lancome free gift, I didn't think it was any better.

Have you seen the Panasonic one? It's heated. Maybe that will work better. Although it can't get too warm since it's going near your eyes.

I think I'm going to look at Sephora. I remember they have a lot of them from looking a couple of years ago and they have reviews.

$19 is kind of pricey but I did a websearch on "good eyelash curler" and this one was listed often.

I did read on one site to put your blowdryer on low and hold the curler under it for 5 seconds because the heat will help curl the lashes better.

I use the Shu uemuru's, and love them. I got my mom hooked on them too. I would rate them 5 also.

You don't need to buy a fancy heated eyelash curler. Just hit your standard one with a blast from your hairdryer, then curl your lashes.

You can stick any eyelash curler under hot tap water, or in a cup with hot tap water for a minute or two, and accomplish the same as with a hair dryer or expensive "electric" heated one......

But I didn't buy an electric one. It's similar to the basic design as the old standards but different material where the lashes go and supposedly curls the lashes better. When my old curler worked on my lashes, I'd always get a weird crease no matter how many times I moved it around.

Ollie, glad to hear you like it! With all the 5 star ratings I think I made a good choice. I don't spend much on makeup, so I don't feel bad splurging a whole $20 on this one. lol

I want to hear your review Oakley! I use a cheap gold curler by the brand Lacross. I figured they were all about the same. I'm blessed with very long lashes but I fight with them daily to make them wing. Curl, mascara, dry, curl, mascara, dry, curl, curl, sometimes more mascara. I'm hoping it's a magical curler! :D Curled lashes really make the eyes look more open.

I LOVE this curler!!! I count 15 seconds for each eye and it does a perfect job. I couldn't be happier. 5 stars. :)

And your eyelashes fan up and stay up?

That's awesome! I'm just trying to wrap my head around why this one works better. I may have to buy one.
