Snow Snow beautiful snow (and update again)

Good Morning. Had restless nite...seems (yes this is gross but seems the surgery made me have gas so was up all night with gas pains....) Seems better this morning, I hope if not by 9 will call the doc. The snow we got I think we have already gotten at least 6 to 8 inches and it is still coming down. It is a dry snow so still no snowman for me..but that is okay as I am not sure I am up to playing in it today...Will try later to get some pics and post for you all.....Stacy

Hi, Stacy. I'm sorry you had a restless night and hope you feel better today. At our age, we'd be way ahead if could bottle up our gas and fuel our vehicles with it, eh? LOL!

Stacy, it is very normal to have pains after anesthetic - for me, it settles around the joints and muscles, too. Just tell everyone to stand back - she's gonna blow! Believe me, you will feel better afterwards!! LOL

I don't mind snow just not bitter cold where your nose hairs freeze and the snow sqeaks. I also don't want, what DC is getting. Here today in Mi. we are getting snow I went out and shoveled by hand 2-3 inch for the next fall tonight and tomorrow, so Our son and hubby can get in the drive, hubby drives a MTA bus for the city of Flint all day so he don't want to see more when he gets home. Iam tired of winter but guess what we are one day closer to Spring Hallaluya. I did go out and broom off my winter sow spot that made me smile. through the brr snow.

Well, in Eagle River we only ended up with 2", but 16 miles south at my brother's he got 12". Go figure. It's beautiful, but I'm still not ready. I think the snow should start on 1 December and only come at night after I'm home. I have a plan: Summer starts 1 June, and it only rains at night. Temps should be between 70 and 85. Fall starts 1 October. Again, it can only rain at night, and the colored leaves have to stay on until Winter begins. Temps between 60 and 70. Winter starts on 1 December. It can only snow once I'm home for the day, and temps are between 10 and 35. Spring starts promptly on 1 April. It only rains at night, and the temps are 60 to 70. What do you all think of this plan? We are south of Deptford; probably 5 minutes away from rt 42 & the AC expressway. Also in the same boat with a hubby that can't shovel; although he did try early yesterday; moved his pickup, pushed snow around and went back inside. My son & I did the driveway the night before; son did what he could before DirecTV had him work. I went out a few times during the day; son came home helped me shovel some more.. seemed like that was all we did yesterday. At one point we had the street cleaned really good; I'd dug out the sewer & hydrant; made a path for the water to drain; well last night about 9:30 the plow came & left a 3ft high wall in front of my driveway & plowed the sewer & hydrant back in. I almost ran after him I was so pissed. Son went out; told him to just dig out one car width so we could get out if need be; he shoveled the whole thing. Thankfully today they did not route him so he was here to help shovel everything again. We got the sewer & hydrant dug out again. I was shoveling around the house; trying to get snow away from where the basement is leaking; stuck my shovel in the snow and what did I see? A huge bunny sitting in there. He'd made himself a house in the 3ft high snow next to my steps. I'd heard we were getting more snow Saturday but I guess it's been changed to Monday. Lovely. The ground is so soaked we are going to have water problems :(

Stacy, my doctor always told me it was more room on the outside than on the inside. Gas does hurt!! Sorry you are experiencing this. I wish we had snow. Haven't seen any in 10 years. Charlene

Here is a tip from my mother and her sister. They went and had a colonoscopy a few years ago and got the bad gas pains. To take care of the "problem" they were instructed by their doctor to get on their hands and knees and put their head on the floor with their butts in the air and let nature take its course! Looks funny, but they both said it worked for them! Picture two older women doing this together so they could finish the day shopping at a mall! Hey, it worked for them, you might give it a try!
