I need to post pictures of one of my orchids it has suddenly started putting out new branches from the main stalk so far two big ones with many flower buds on each. There must be at least 7-8 per branch and it's not done yet. I can not wait to see the blooms. Plus one of my others has started sprouting new buds from the end mitten and it looks like it will be quite a few. Jodi just by the picture it looks like it needs water, I would definitely add a few ice cubes, it will start dropping flowers if it gets too dehydrated. It is a beautiful orchid. I had one of mine living outside but had to bring it in due to the cold.

Thanks, rob and socks. I think it was getting overwatered. That's when I repotted it. I removed most of the dirt and replaced it with the orchid mix thinking I would get better drainage. The soil was pretty wet when I took it out of the pot. I have had this plant 7 years and I'm pretty sure my sister never repotted it for as long as she had it. It has flowered every year, but getting less and less flowers and it was pretty limp. I've moved it away from a north facing window in a very dry room to the family room where it is getting light from both a south facing and a west facing windows - about 2 feet from the windows. Most of my other plants are in this room too and are doing well. It might be my imagination, but it does look a little perkier today. :) Thanks for your help.

100mph wind we had....took out the neighbors huge tree...I posted a pic of the tree a few days ago with a dry erase board that said, "We think the bear is fine"

Regarding picture I shared: He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit here.. He is fighting for his life as he was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis, resulting in significant swelling and infection that have damaged his brain and brain stem affecting his motor and autonomic functions. He is currently on a ventilator. John has special needs, as does big sister.
