Looks like a stag to me...but my eyesight is failing. Above all...he looks pretty healthy considering mating season has just concluded. What a rack!!!

This has always been my favorite KT thread due to Casey's (and helpers) diligence in keeping it going each day. Love viewing all of the great pix of many different topics. I have to say the one that has really appealed to me today is mojomom's super shot from the deck. WooHoo! I would love to see something like that in my backyard. Instead, I look out and it's the backdoor neighbors big yellow dog over here taking a dump. I "fondly" call him Dumpster. :-) My yard guy calls him names I can't insert here. lol!

What you might have missed on the mojo photo are the dogs going nutso about the nerve of that animal being so close to them!!

Thanks, all. Love everyone's pictures. Yes, it was an Elk, there is a herd in the pasture across the fence and come out and forage most mornings. They just ignore the dogs.
