Morning Kt! Another cold day, but not as bad as the last two days. It was a little chilly in the house this morning. My thermostat was on "cool" and the temp says it's 63 in here. I don't believe it. Got it back to heat but not sure what happened, did I mess it up last night or did one of the kids? I'm sitting here sweating from a hot flash so maybe it is only 63 in here-lol!

Going to work today. I hope I don't have to be charge today. Had leftover lasagna for breakfast from last night. Don't ever use Velveeta in lasagna. Bleck! I forgot to get some ricotta or cottage cheese and only had a little parmesan and tiny bit of cheddar so I cut up the rest of the velveeta I had from making mac and cheese and used that. Lauren didn't say anything about it but I think it's awful.

Hope everyone has a nice day. I read about the rain and wind in California and trees toppling over onto houses. I hope you all are safe out there. My dad who's in N. NV told me they were expecting 10 feet of snow in the Sierras! They really need it because of the on going drought.

Good Morning. I am heading back to missouri today and will stay thru the end of the month..and head back here first part of feb. This drive is getting sooooo tiresome. I have 3 doc. appt. up there starting with one on monday. I hope they get me straightened out. I get to drive today with absoulty noooo energy and a headache that i have had for a week now. They think it is due to my hormone levels....ya gotta love getting old! So we will see. 6 hrs in the truck (which I hate driving anyways) with the 2 dogs with a headache is not something I am looking forward to.......but oh well I have to do it!
I think it is supposed to be a pretty day at least though so that will make it better.....I will check in when I can while I am gone.....Stacy

Good morning. Kath, I hope your day is an easy one. I'm thinking about the people in California too. I know that some have lost their power.
Stacy, I hope your headache goes away. I get headaches that last a few days too, and it's not very nice.
I'm just going to hang out in the house today. I worked for the last three days, and I just want to relax.

I mowed - again - today, I had just mowed last Thursday but the grass was so high already. Normally I don't like a "sheared" lawn, but I set the deck too low on my mower and didn't realize it. Since it would look weird to do the rest on a higher setting I continued. Golf course like lawns make me uncomfortable! lol Besides all the little wild flowers got their heads chopped off. Maybe I won't have to mow for awhile now though it being so short. There are so many violets and other wild flowers in the orchard that I have a hard time mowing them, so I leave small patches here and there. The ground itself is still very damp. Sometimes when I sit on a chair at my small table down there, a chair leg or two will sink right into the soil sending me backwards. I've learned to be quick to jump off! I think I will plant ever bearing strawberries in my mailbox cover this year just for something different. They will have a white bloom and hopefully have berries most of the summer. At least that's what I envision, will see if it works out.

Update on the day: The living room is so clean. The floor looks fantastic, the furniture is polished, fabrics are washed, cords are corralled. I’m even up to date on the Murdaugh trial, having listened to the Netflix doc at the same time. The poor kitty ventured out once the vacuuming stopped. I haven’t done much in there ever since DH moved his office home…noise, bustle, commentary, meals, etc. But now it looks so good, the dining room next door to it wants a spa day, too! For now, I’m going to collapse in a clean chair with a glass of wine and watch something entertaining.

Can anybody lend me Noah's Ark? The rain up here on the west coast of Canada hasn't stopped for over a rain, but I feel really bad complaining when I heard about all the snow down in California. Too bad it can't be harvested and saved for the draughts, eh?

Low, 27; high 32.

I may go outside and clean up under the birdfeeders a bit! LOL

With the wind we have, all the broken branches that are really to high up in the trees, might get blown down, and clean up can get finished. :)

Seriously, I hope everyone is fine, in their tough weather situations.

Beautiful day here. 70 degrees finally after a couple of days where it barely made it to 40.

Kathy, I love Velvetta but not so sure about in lasagne. Just chop it all up and call it goulash. LOL!
