Wow - this seems to be the hot trend! My friend made Pioneer Womans Cookie Dough Brownies a couple of days ago and proclaimed them TDF. Seems I am going to have to jump on the wagon and give both a try! Yours look super tasty!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies

Ingredients
�FOR THE BROWNIES:
�5 whole Eggs
�1-� cup Vegetable Oil
�2-� cups Granulated Sugar
�1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
�1-� cup All-purpose Flour
�� cups Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
�1 teaspoon Salt
�1 teaspoon Baking Powder
�1 cup Chocolate Chips

�FOR THE COOKIE DOUGH FILLING:
�� cups Brown Sugar
�� cups Granulated Sugar
�3 Tablespoons Milk
�1 whole Egg
�1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
�1-� cup All-purpose Flour
�1 teaspoon Salt
�1 teaspoon Baking Powder
�1 cup Chocolate Chips
Preparation Instructions
For the brownie batter:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, oil, sugar, and vanilla. Stir well.

In a second bowl, blend the flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder. Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture in 1�2 cup intervals, stirring just until all ingredients are blended. Add the chocolate chips last.

For the cookie dough batter:

Mix together brown sugar, granulated sugar, milk, egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder; add to the sugar mixture. It will be a bit goopy, which is good. You don�t want it to be tough like regular cookie dough. Stir in the chocolate chips.

To assemble brownies:

Spoon half of the brownie batter into the bottom of the pan. Smooth it out as well as you can with the back of your spoon.

Next, add all of the cookie dough batter to the pan, one spoonful at a time. Try not to disturb the brownie layer as you add the second layer. Just get it as well distributed as you can�no big deal if it�s not quite even.

Finally, top the pan with the remaining half of the brownie batter, again trying not to disturb the lower layers. Place in the oven and bake at 350�F. Start checking it at 30 minutes.

When cooled, frost and slice as desired. The inner cookie layer is a wonderful contrast to the spongy brownie outside.

I took these over to our friends last night to get some feedback and they were a hit. Alexa, those brownies look great. I wonder if I could use my regular brownie recipe and just add the cookie dough filling to that? Claire, you are too kind! Hope you like these. Okay, hopefully this will come together as I pulled from different recipes.

First make up 24 cupcakes from your favorite recipe. I thought yellow would taste best but make whatever you prefer. Next make up a batch of chocolate chip truffles. This is Paula Deen's recipe. I followed the advice from the comments on the foodnetwork page which recommended to only add as much sweetened condensed milk to make the dough come together. I ended up using only about half a can. I rolled out the truffles and popped them in the freezer for a few minutes to harden up. You will have way more truffles than you need...I think I have at least 20 left over. The original recipe calls for dipping these in chocolate which I may do with the extras. When you are ready to assemble the cupcakes, cut a wedge out of the center of the cupcake and insert the cookie dough about halfway down. Next make the frosting. As for the frosting, it makes a lot. I ended up making only half a recipe and I had enough to pipe 17 cupcakes. If I were just spreading it on instead of piping, I'm sure a half recipe would be plenty.

Cookie dough truffles

1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup semisweet mini chocolate morsels
1 c finely chopped pecans (optional)

Cream butter and brown sugar together, add vanilla then gradually beat in flour. Add enough sweetened condensed milk to make the truffles come together. You can add the entire can but they will be very sticky.

Cookie dough frosting

3 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
þ cup light brown sugar, packed
3ý cups confectionersâ sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
þ tsp. salt
3 tbsp. milk
2ý tsp. vanilla extract

Cream the butter and brown sugar together. Beat in the powdered sugar, then the flour and salt, then the milk and vanilla.
