popcorn anyone?

Can someone recommend a good popcorn maker? I have always used a saucepan with oil in the bottom, with lots of shaking.. Most of the time, all the kernels don't pop, and if I keep it on the heat too long, of course some of the bottom burns.

I bought an air popper, but my DH doesn't like how the popcorn tastes. "Too chewy, not crispy". So it's going back. I've seen the Whirlypop on Amazon. How do you all make popcorn?
