Thank you for the birthday wishes. I celebrated with a sfogliatella from our local Italian bakery. Yum!

Thanks again. We had a good lunch - a filet BLT with avocado for me and a lobster po' boy for DH. We stopped at the Italian bakery and got two pastries to split for teatime last night instead of a cake. It was a relaxing day.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. We usually don't make a big deal out of birthdays in our family. Wednesdays are my regular day off from work so DH and I headed out to the scrapyard with a truckload of metal from our recently departed stove. Then we went to lunch at a Greek restaurant where we both had deliciously prepared lavraki (bronzini) - mine grilled and his cooked in a clay pot with tomatoes, parsley and pine nuts. On the way home we stopped at a car dealership for DH to finalize the paperwork for a new car he ordered for me and should arrive in a few weeks! So it was definitely one of my more exciting birthdays.

Happy Birthday Ruthanna!! I hope you enjoy your day even if you do have to cook. LOl. I look forward to seeing your food, but for me, I always love whatever dishes and such you use. You make some of my favorite place settings. Enjoy!
