How do you store your homemade bread?

Short term and long term (freezing).

I hate using plastic wrap and tin foil on every loaf I make.

I have been re-using some store-bought bread bags, sometimes using just plastic grocery bags (doubled up).

What about those long loaves like french or baguettes?

How about partial loaves left on the counter or in the fridge for a day or two? Sandwich type bread?

I would love to hear what YOU do. I am considering calling a local bakery to see if I can buy bags from them. I would re-use as much as possible, but eventually somebody slices through it or something and it must be thrown out.

I'd love to find a more permanent solution that still keeps the bread fresh (as much as possible for homemade....).

TIA,

Deanna
