DS introduced me to Tidy Cat's Breeze Litter Box System. I will never have anything else, and I've had multiple indoor cats since we married, almost 32 years now. DD2 changed her two cats over to it also, all of them without any issues. You can print a coupon off from their website - each system comes with a $10 off coupon inside the box. Pet Supplies Plus is the least expensive in my area. I used to buy the pads at Wal-Mart, but started ordering them through Amazon. They recently went up on their price, so I buy from Drugstore.com in bulk when they have a 20% special in that area.

Precious Cat is the best I've found so far. They have many types! I just get a regular litter in a blue bag.

We use World's Best Cat Litter. It is corn-based. It is expensive, but it lasts a long time. Right now there is another brand of corn-based at Petsmart, but I have not tried it yet.

We used the light stuff...wasn't very light, but lighter than the regular scoopable stuff. I think it was called fresh and light.

Worlds Best really is! It seems expensive initially, but the bag lasts forever - the way it clumps makes the remainder stay very clean. Sometimes I wouldn't have to add more to the box for a long time. The bag lasts and lasts. No perfumes, great odor control, no toxins for you cat, biodegradable, too. Honestly, I could never change to any other litter after using it for my now departed kitties.

How do ya'll change your kitty litter? Do you add to it after scooping or change it completely every couple of days?

I'm pretty new at having cats, just got my first about a year ago, and then added another one about 3 months ago. I am SO sensitive of smells and I have tried numerous kitty litters. I don't care how expensive it is, as long as it works.

I have tried World's Best, and I really like it the first couple of days, but then the odor control goes away. But, maybe I am doing it wrong, as I scoop about 3 times a day, and just add to the litter in the box until every Saturday and then clean box and add new litter.

I have recently gone back to Tidy Cats Small Spaces and it is not dusty and it seems to control odor better. Why this time, I don't know!

I tried the Tidy Cat's Breeze system, and one cat wouldn't use it, so went back to regular covered litter box.

I don't think I've tried Precious Cat, so may try it next time.

Olliesmom, is your litter deep enough? I find ours will smell more if there is not enough depth to it. I will fill it about 3" high.

Also, for two cats, you should probably have more than one box if that is possible in your space. Now that we are down to one cat, we have two boxes, but he prefers the larger box.

I like the looks of the Breeze System, I think I'll give it a try, but I'll keep one regular box for awhile. We have a Petsmart in town, I will see if they have it.

My 18 year old cat has the strangest habit that he's just recently developed. I think he has cat dementiaâ¦.

Instead of drinking his water straight from his bowl, he scoops it with his paw and drinks it from the pad of his paw. This wouldn't be such an issue if he didn't create what basically becomes a cat watermark all around his bowl. On top of that he then goes into his box and his paws become covered in litter. Then he returns to his bowl to "clean" his paws and creates little white track marks all over the floor. And the litter he doesn't clean off comes off his paws all over my bed when it dries.

I had tried the breeze system a while back, and at first he used it fine, but then he started to number 2 in the basement because he couldn't bury in the breeze pellets.

So we went back to litter. Now it seems I need litter that clumps, but doesn't stick to wet pawsâ¦.

Carol, I have a 5 yr old cat that lays down to drink with his paws hanging in the water. Started this when he was just a kitten. If I don't have a short bowl for him, he will pull one over....big, strong guy. And I have to check on the water as there will be little spots of watered down litter in it.

Bottom line on litter....whatever works for the owner. I use Arm/Hammer for multi cats. Without an aroma, can't deal with fake perfume smells. And I watch for coupons and sales. Target does a good job on sales prices. Also, I think all the contraptions available still means cleaning and cleaning. Walking litter bugs me more than anything.

I did try the natural litter, it was nothing more than sawdust and fine ground corn. Too expensive and a terrible mess to deal with.
