Is there a magic number for determining when you need two systems

Many of you have already given me lots of advice on my upcoming Asheville, NC build. We now have the exact square footage back from the draftsman. Our house (of course) is bigger than what we wanted. It will be 1915 on the first floor and main living and sleeping area and 725 upstairs for the guests quarters. What will be most economical and efficient? We are doing loose insulation in 2 x 6 framing and putting the hard stuff in the ceiling, I think. Should we go with two systems, dual fuel, a single zoned system? What do you think? I do appreciate the advice you have already given me, but since the plan is slightly bigger than we expected, I didn't know if it would change your advice.
