ummm... i don't think smoking a bong is allowed! and drinking beer, well that would be allowed! i'm ok, jimi is my brother, but i raised him from a little thing!! LOL mom being a trucker and all. the other thing i can do pretty easy! pissing me off!! LOL he he he amazing aren't i! LOL funny how those kids are, when your not, looking they just do what they want!! my mom went and got tabor some of those heelys, so now he's like all cool. LOL sooooo, he wears them to church, so i make him change them, and he can wear them at break time, LOL the good news is my banana plant is comin out of it! before after like almost a week. so my banana plant is doing much bettr!! can't say much for the canna's. errr! one was just about to bloom too!! i was FINALLY gonna see this special yellow! LOL and one i've been waiting on never bloomed yet, won't this year thanks to the frost! that's it! i'm moving!! LOL :'))

Hi, everyone! I hope everyone is having a great day!!! I am incredibly busy, but just wanted to post at least once today! Thank you Tracy - I am SO happy to hear that you all loved the cranberry jam stuff! I have to tell you I made your homemade cranberry sauce yesterday, and my hubby LOVED it! He and I were the only ones that ate it - we always are! But, he went on and on about how it was way better than canned, and way better than any other homemade anyone has tried! Then, the stuffing! Girl - that was wonderful!! I did add a half pint of mushrooms that I canned a while back, and chopped them up very small so the kids wouldn't really notice them. That went really well too! Dave said it was the best ever, and my brother-in-law loaded half his plate with it! William is the only kid here that is a stuffing eater, and he loved it too! (So did I!!!) I am getting close to finished. Not really, but it's nice to say! I have all the chocolates and candy and cookies packaged. Just have to cut and package the fudge yet. Make labels and stick them to all the jars of preserves. Make the cocoa mix, muffin mix and pancake mix, and make all those labels and package them. Umm, make an order form and price sheet, make an inventory, and I'm sure much more, but that's all I can think of right now. I am not going to bring the cupcakes I'm afraid - I've just run out of time to finish those. I got some baked, but I don't have time to make frosting and make the decorations, so hopefully some people will check out my website, where I will post some of those soon, I hope! I had to read this twice. Looks like from the second post that the OP did not encourage the family to attend the wedding - the 'adult' part of her simply decided not to push the issue and agreed not to attend, herself. Dirtunder, are you upset by the events, or are you upset by the silence? Sometimes the elephant in the room left undiscussed is far more painful then the event itself. At any rate, we all benefit by setting emotions aside and by learning how to talk to our families about what upsets us. BTW, is anyone talking about the fact that brother is an alcoholic and had (has) sexual boundary issues? This seems like a forest through the trees topic to me.

Ah, well, Annie, we didn't have cake mixes or a mixer or an oven. Just scratch ingredients, a mixing bowl sized cheap aluminum pot, a table fork, and a way to bake on a gas ring that was similar to the Omnia oven. It's a ring pan with a wide flue up the middle and a vented solid top which reflects the heat down. It worked. It made cake. It made good cake. With AP flour. :) But we didn't usually frost it or anything like that, and usually didn't decorate it at all. It was just cake. In the beginning, I did give it time and thought, but I went in already knowing how to bake a cake. A friend showed me the light on how to improvise successfully. Practice showed me the difference between two and three eggs, depending on how many we had. The only fail was the one time I forgot the baking powder (it came in little packets and was very hard to measure, which is how I learned that the exact amount doesn't mean that much as long as it's there). Even that was salvageable as a kind of dense pastry bottom with fruit. I have good cake recipes. I have one that is a perfect bundt cake with a perfect crumb. I bake them. People like them. But they like the improvisational ones too. :) People just like cake!
