We just moved into a new house and are looking for backsplash suggestions....any and all will be appreciated! The cabinets are oak, and are staying as is but will get new hardware. Countertops are a granite called Ghibli, which is greyish with brown and blue tones throughout. Don't know what to do with the backsplash and am looking for something to tie it all together.... i understand your predicament: If you go cabinet height, it will look strange on the wall to the left of the hood. Ceiling height will look monumental. Would you consider a cabinet or open shelves to the left of the hood? And then just go with backsplash under the cabinets/shelves and perhaps behind the hood. I need some backsplash suggestions please and thank you... These images are a little on the dark side, so I do apologize but I'm hoping to bring some warmth back into the kitchen with the backsplash. I know the countertop looks really grey here but it is a grey that presents a little more so on the warmer side, almost like a grey linen colour with white veining. I do not want a dark backsplash either, something darker then my cabinets but lighter then my countertop and something with a vintage feeling. Any ideas and if so, where can I purchase the tile in the GTA or in Mississauga, Ontario Canada? Thank you!
