@sushipup2 you are probably right. I can't remember exactly what dad had; sadly he passed away a few years ago. I believe he did have vision coverage. We have vision care through my former employer but not dental insurance. What was offered through work did not cover our (wonderful) dentists, and I would rather pay than change. So, I guess we'll be used to that if need be, when we go on Medicare.

Yes, these are supposed to be the ”shorter” pairs that can work with glasses even. Out of the 4 styles I have, these are the shortest. They have a video about trimming, and I will try it eventuallly. But I’ve worn them twice and they work very well and are easy to apply and take off. I have few events coming up. We’ve had some outdoor concerts but it was so hot this is the last thing I want to bother with. My niece thought they were fine, but she is used to people with super long or thick lashes. She may try these herself.

Seaweed is food for the beneficial microbes in the soil. That's a lot harder to quantify. I've looked into seaweed and never felt the need to use it. Ordinary organic fertilizer is a lot less expensive in my opinion. I have a friend in Phoenix who uses it in his organic program, and I don't see where his lawn excels above neighboring lawns. I'd say if you think you need to spend more money buying stuff, be absolutely sure you are watering deeply and infrequently, mowing properly, and fertilizing late May, early September, and late November before spending any money on frills.

I have what I think is RA in my finger joints. My PCPs (both the former and the new) just kind of looked at them and said osteo - but the joints will flare up, swell, redden, increased pain from time to time. The only valuable thing that I got from a chiropractor was the tip that tart cherry juice would help - and I was really amazed that it really did! The swelling around the worst joint visibly decreased. Now I take tart cherry extract capsules - not as effective as juice, but more cost effective, and they do help. The other thing that helped when my knees started to get achy 2 decades ago (from 12 hours on my feet at work) was glucosamine/chondroitin/msm combo pills. I know that studies don't show effectiveness, but they work for me. I've had no more issues in the knees.
