I developed really bad plantar fasciitis, and it took YEARS to resolve, but my calves were extremely tight and immobile. I found stretching didn't help until I had seen a massage therapist for some deep tissue massage - my case was extreme so I needed to go 2x a month for a year (by choice!) but the difference it has made is AMAZING! I also went to a podiatrist and got custom orthotics made. the best ones use lasers to map the base of your foot while standing, rather than by casting while sitting.

Hello Everybody! ND is cloudy, damp, and cool today. I just made 1/2 gallon of hummimgbird nectar. It can cool while I shower and dress (not getting around much today) and then I'll go out to replace the old feeders with clean, freshly filled ones. I have one feeder in the north neighbor's yard; one in the east neighbor's yard; two in my bird feeding tree; and one on a hook by my sewing room window. Now that the migration has started, I'll set another hook in the tomato garden just outside the kitchen sink window. I've learned the more feeders I can spread around, especially if the birds can't see all of them at once, the less fighting I get and we all get to enjoy many more hummers. Thus time of year I normally make 1/2 gallon of nectar twice a week.

Thank you everyone. I survived the night. Actually at about 2 am I followed the doctors instructions and took two of the pain pills. It gave me some relief but made me soooo tired but than again it was 2 am and I had been up for 22 hours by than. When I woke this morning I felt like the pain wasn't quite as bad as yesterday. As this morning progressed I feel definitely the pain is better..I'd say 30% better. I took no pain pills today. I was also worried about cellulitis once the pain spread, but since the pain is letting up I'm not so sure. I will avoid standing all day cleaning, cooking, ect... and just take today to rest the foot. I've learned since my last bout with the flu..I'm to old to just carry on when somethings wrong with this body. Thank you all.

Cork flooring is one of the softest 'rigid' surfaces we have. Laying OVER TOP of something is where it gets tricky. Carpet tiles are the ONLY things that will deal with this in the way you are explaining it. A cork AREA RUG will do it. They start at $1000 for a 6ft runner (3ft x 6ft). Rubberized flooring is *possible....but it must sit on a flat, even surface. Rubberized flooring is some of the most expensive flooring products we have. It is used in museums and art galleries the world over. It starts about $10/sf for the THIN stuff (5mm) and goes up from there. If you have latex allerties or asthma, etc then rubberized flooring is not for you. Please tell us more about what you are thinking of.
