Mjlb: Yes! One bath could be accessible from hall. If you have ideas, I would love to hear them. I should have added I planned to eliminate entrance to Master closet from hall anyways. That's just weird to begin with. I really want my daughter (who will be the oldest child) to have her own bath, which is why I wanted to do the en-suite baths. In regards to thinking in 3D, trust me, I have....or trying to anyways. I have a program I use (not a professional but it helps with the visualization.) The bumping out is actually creating a larger family room below, which is why I want to do it, not just to create a larger Master. Plan has two fireplaces. Both are listed as optional, so I have so wiggle room there as well. This is a stock plan, Unfortunately a truly custom plan is not in the budget. I love so many aspects of this plan, especially the exterior.

Yesterday they grouted my brushed marble floor with Custom quartz, I am feeling sick because the grout is not only too light but also has a rosey cast to it in the light. The floor hasn't been sealed yet, except for the area under the washing machine and also under an entertainment center so they could slide that back into place. I have heard about Polyblend Grout Renew -- is it even possible to use that in tight grout joints with natural stone? Would the sealer have to be removed in those 2 areas? What should it cost to regrout? Is that even feasible? I have 1800 feet of this floor. There is alot of grout haze on the floor too. What should they be doing to clean it before sealing the stone floor? Should he use a grout haze remover on natural stone? The guy that installed the stone went out of town and my gc is planning to seal it himself -- not sure he has enough experience doing this. I love the stone floor, and am heartsick about the grout. What can I do to fix this? Thanks so much!

I don’t want to make a wrong impression that I am not willing to pay remaining 40% for this job. The main point is that I want them to provide me with a good/finished product. So far the quality does not meet my expectation and it was not my fault that they made cracks in the stone while processing, delivering, and installing it. Before the installation, I went to the fabricator’s warehouse to inspect the slabs and both slabs looked good except for couple of the areas where I found tiny cracks. I communicated very clearly that I won’t accept those cracks regardless in which part of the countertop it’s applied. I stayed there for several hours to do the layout for the countertop to avoid those cracks. And I made it very clear to the fabricator that I won’t accept any cracks in the stone and I would rather choose a different slab than get the original slabs with the cracks. They reassured me that there won't be any cracks and I dont need to reselect new. When we finished the layout, NONE of the countertop pieces had any cracks on them. And this what I received

I would suggest ripping off the existing engineered wood floors if you don't have more than 300 to 400 sqft. It will make your floor design decision so much easier. Sanding and refinishing to match new engineered floor isn't a bad idea, but hard to achieve and only if you have a sandable wear layer and high-end wood flooring installation team.
