radiant or forced air: small heater to augment existing heat

If this has been answered elsewhere please point me.

Application -- kitchen, about 2000 cubic feet, has an electric baseboard which is not sufficient. Would like to install a small wall (between studs) heater to augment the existing baseboard.

Like the idea of electric powered radiant as it would be noise and blower free. But are there disadvantages compared to the electric fan units?

Not concerned with power costs as this would have relatively low use. But am concerned about reliability and heat output, noise. No children in this household,

Would appreciate insights and recommendations.
