That's a great wind vane and a terrific price. I paid $10 for a faux rooster wind vane and got another 2 of them the same later for $15. Mine are not as detailed as yours so IMO you got a really good deal. TFS

I found that concrete blocks (4x16x8) are very good for raised beds. These can be seconds (much cheaper and just as strong) from Dolese or any concrete company. There are many methods for placement and grass removal. I used steel, plastic and aluminum rods/pipes to hold them in place. They merely adjoin each other and eventually some bermuda will creep in, but it is easily removed, if caught early. I have had my blocks for the past 7 years and they replaced wood 2x8 that rotted.

I knew I couldn't be the only one with this question! I prefer the design & colors of the Kitchen Select over LC though I have to say I prefer the Staub design & colors over the KS. But the prices are wildly different & I don't have unlimited funds. If you keep going back to TJMaxx/HomeGoods you'll see Kitchen Select enameled cast iron in different shapes & colors. I just can't see a difference holding the LC & KS side by side. I posted to see if anyone owns both and knows a difference in use (cooking or cleanup). I'm interested in all the brands, any differences. jackidr, I bought the 5 quart round KS in a wonderful butternut color that cheers me up so much I feel free to plunk it on the table to serve. So I often pick up this pot over an old anodized round pot in the same size. A few weeks ago I saw the $40 KS piece you & I purchased at TJMaxx on Amazon for $35 plus shipping, today it's $50. Kitchen Select & Innova appear to be the same (are they?). I'm linking what looks like our same pot for $28. Why such a broad price range for similar products? Is it the price of a French product vs Chinese? What exactly are we paying for with the higher price tags or losing with the lower price tags? So confused. Anyone else? I love red so either the cherry red or grenadine works for me. Before seeing the responses here I went ahead and ordered some pieces from Cutleryandmore.com and Metrokitchen.com. I ended up deciding on the matte blacke because it will blend in with my Lodge cast iron and not clash with my red Le Creuset. However, if I add any more pieces I'll most likely add some colors for fun. I checked the fit of my lids and they seem O.K. If I intentionally try to wiggle them around, they do move some. I didn't see any gaps though. Is this normal? I had assumed it was normal for this cookware. Le Creuset responded immediately to my concerns about the staining when I e-mailed them, and the cookware involved is on the way to them so they can check it out. I am VERY impressed so far with their customer service. And I do still like my Le Creuset and will still use it. I just feel the Staub textured interiors may brown some things better for times when that type of flavor is critical. Kitchendetective, which Staub red do you feel would come closest to the LeCreuset red? Or are they entirely different? The cherry looks pretty close, but I have to say that grenadine looks rich. The WS red looks nice, but I like brighter colors and I think theirs may have too much brown in it for my taste. Sandy
