Take the doctor to small claims court if you are changing doctors anyway. Want to bet that the money will be forthcoming once he gets the court papers. Set yourself up with a new doctor first and make sure you take every scrap of evidence you have even if you don't think it important, if and when you go to court. Document everything --dates of appointments, letters and phone calls to both the insurance company and the doctor, and any thing showing the doctor was paid by both you and the insurance company. Before you set it up with small claims send a letter telling your doctor just what you are going to do if he won't come across with what's owing.

I get mine from express scripts and pay 9.00 for a 3 month supply.I was totally surprised last month when they sent my refill for Femara,and it was free.Seems it went generic,so no charge.That's ok with me,i'll take free any day. Some of our meds we fill on the base,so no charge,but others they don't carry so it's express scripts or cvs. I really feel sorry for those that have high co-pays.I was at the oncologists one day and this older lady in front of me came in for her treatments and her co-pay was 277.00,i almost dropped my teeth:) I pay nothing for that either.Thank God DH was career military. kathi

$19.00 and now you have to pay $44.00? Be thankful you even have insurance of whatEVER sort. DH did a print out the other day of what our insurance covered for us last year, AFTER our $5,000.00 deductible. $188,285.97. I'm not real good with numbers but that seems pretty close to 200 grand. That's more than my house is worth. Hopefully, this year won't include a stroke, a flight for life and some cancer surgery. I detest insurance companies on a whole (no offense intended to anyone) but, without that, you'd be paying my welfare, food stamps, housing, etc. All you may hear about Canada's "free" health care....check out their taxes and cost of living. By the time you get to see a doctor, your sore throat will either be gone or you're in stage 4 of cancer. Just sayin'.

Results: We did not get to have her with us Sunday overnight as part of our EOW. We did however get: The right to take her to the dr. or dentist The right to hard copies of the medical/dental/vision cards when BM take health insurance back in Feb (her open enrollment) BM covers ins. as well as 1st $250 in expenses. Everything else split 50/50. BM has to give 24 hours notice before taking her to any dr.'s and provide us with written results. They are now required to comminicate in writing. BM has to reimburse for past 4 months of medical expenses we paid out. We got extra time in the summer. We did not have to pay her legal fees. We still would have liked to only be responsible for dental/vision and not medical as he never agrees on the crazy tests she takes this child for without cause or symptoms. But I guess if we don't agree then we won't pay and she can take us to court and explain to the judge why she's taking a kid with NO symptoms to the allergist and subjecting her to tests and lying to the Dr. about the symptoms.
