I messed up the flash version .. sh/b 10.3.183.7 Uninstall flaah regular then run this... http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe Restart computer then install your flash players.... http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe Is Adobe recomendations when having problems. Think I'd uninstall Firefox including personal.. too. Then install todays version 6.02

RC, one of your links said to look for these...... "install_flash_player.exe" and "install_flash.exe" I did a search on my C drive for both and found neither. My FF extensions does show this as the latest entry: "Adobe DLM (powered by GetPlus(R)) 1,6,2,44 A GetPlusR download-,upload-And Installation Manager is a sophistocated tool for an efficient distribution of digital goods." My Plugins show this for the latest entry: "getPlusPlus for Adobe 16244 1.6.2.44" Now I recall yesterday morning, as I was working in Excel, suddenly my mouse was acting up...would highlight when I was trying to type, wouldn't switch from caps and lower case, etc. I rebooted and all was fine...except I was prompted to download the newest update for Firefox. I didn't do it at that time. Last night I decided I'd do "check for updates" for FF. It said there was one so I said to download it. Just afterward, the Adobe Flash prompt popped up so I thought it was connected to the FF update. However, I did not allow access to the internet for the Adobe PlusPlus request via Zone Alarm. My daily AVG didn't catch anything this morning (and I see from Virus Total's list that it might not). I ran Malwarebytes yesterday after the computer acted funny and it was negative. Is there an online scan for Firefox browsers? Thank you. Pam Am I sunk?

What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser? This is an attempt to limit the the issue to 1 browser. For delta search you will need to a bit more work to get rid of it entirely. To do that, download AdwCleaner Download from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ Using AdwCleaner is very simple. Simply download the program and run it. You will then be presented with a screen that contains a Scan and Clean button. The Scan button will cause AdwCleaner to search your computer for unwanted programs and then display all the files, folders, and registry entries found on your computer that are used by adware programs. When the scan has finished, look through the scan results and uncheck any entries that you do not wish to remove. When you are satisfied with the selection, simply click on the Clean button, which will cause AdwCleaner to reboot your computer and remove the files and registry entries associated with the various adware that you are removing. On reboot, AdwCleaner will display a log showing the files, folders, and registry entries that were removed. When you're done with adwcleaner, double click it and choose uninstall Joe This post was edited by zep516 on Fri, Nov 15, 13 at 20:28
