I'm having a hysterectomy next Tuesday
Comments (12)September 2010 I had a vaginal hyst., unfortunately they nicked my bladder by accident so that took a longer healing time. I felt like my abdominal area puffed up and stayed that way for a few months. I walked but didn't really exercise for awhile. A year later(2011), I was ready to get back into shape. I've been derailed over holidays with cookies etc.:)Ready to get back to it. I must say it is nice to not be tired all the time (my iron was 8.2 instead of 11 or 12) So, I will keep you in my prayers and may 2012 hold health and happy days ahead for us all! Blessings, Kim :)...See MoreHave you ever had a Hernia? :)
Comments (6)Tina, the hernia is right above a scar from gallbladder surgery I had years ago, Orthoscopic, and he said it could be from that, which is what you described. He also firmly believes coughing causes hernias, and I wouldn't be surprised because I have asthma and cough sometimes. Mona, it doesn't really hurt, I noticed it hurt some this morning when I bent down. Other than that, I can't tell I have it. No one can see it unless I were to wear a tight shirt. That I will NOT do. lol. It's about the size of an oval golfball, I was told it's small compared to other hernias. I'm going to try to give it a month or so and see what happens. If the pain increases, I'll definitely go see a surgeon about this. It could be a combination of both. Wodka, where is your mother's located at? Maybe this is karma for me cause knowing me, when I was a kid I probably laughed at old ladies with "bumps." lol. Karma has always came back to bite me. :)...See MoreHelp! Comments (55)CEFreeman I am buying a Kohler Dickninson 33" single apron front basin sink color sandbar. This is a picture of my perimtier counters (Zodiac quartz) with the color of the sink tab on top, cabinet (off white color) sample and floor tile underneath. My island will be Bianco Antico on cherry. I ordered the sink Monday and was called today because they said it would be 4- weeks delivery time. Oh no no no! The girl called around and said now it will be 2-3 was that ok? Said yes because the white and bisque color sink I could get in 7 days did not look good with the Warm Taupe color quartz. Sandbar looked perfect. Now waiting for them to call with the estimate for the floor and counters. I was wondering what exactly the cabinet maker needs to make the cabinet below the sink. The place I am ordering everything from has the same sink in one of their kitchen displays. Can't he just go there to look at the sink? Someone said they are all different? They are? Shouldn't all the 33" DIckninson sinks measure the same???? This post was edited by sammy62 on Thu, Jan 23, 14 at 23:19...See MoreDo you have plantar fascitis (heel issue), or have you had it?
Comments (37)Oh my goodness! I can't believe you asked this question! Seriously! Two weeks ago, my feet were really sore. I realized I had been wearing the same running shoes for almost a year. I wear them 8 hours a day at work, and I'm on my feet those entire 8 hours. The grips had worn away, so i figured it was time for new runners. I searched high and low determined to find just the right pair. They had to have thick cushionie soles. I find runners these days have NO arch support like they used to. Salesclerks now point you to the Dr Scholls inserts which cost another $20+ on top of the price of the runners. Anyways, I wore the runners to work and my left foot was still sore. I just figured it was from the bad runners and would feel better soon. That night I was in bed and my foot felt 'tight'. I pulled my leg up and rubbed the bottom of my left foot and not only did I hurt myself, I felt a big lump on the tendon in the middle of my arch! first thing I thought of was cancer. LOL Next day I googled, "lump on bottom of foot" and a page full of 'planters faciitis' sites popped up. I read everything I could, then went to you tube to see what phyical therapy I could do. I bought a set of "Barefoot Science" insoles. They retail for $50 where I work, but I get a discount. They still cost more than the $25 Dr Scholls at the shoe store.... But they are the only insoles we sell that list planters faciitis as one of the things it helps. Let me tell you, step one inserts are very soft. It doesn't bother my right foot, but holy cow, my left foot gets sore. I have to force myself to walk normally, and not on the outside of my foot. What's the point of the inserts if I don't use them right? Right? I also stretch my foot whenever I remember. (like now...) I roll my foot over a can of furniture spray. LOL I need to find a decent sized tennis ball (yeah, they're all the same size, i know. figure of speech) to roll under my foot. I've only used the inserts since Friday and IMO, the lump does feel a little smaller and it hurts a lot less already. I keep forgetting to ice it. But the thought of an ice pack on the bottom of my foot..... yeah, probably not going to happen. LOL I don't see the point in seeing a doctor for this right now. I would have to go to a walk in clinic as there is a severe dr shortage in Alberta. Sit there for hours with people who are actually sick and contagious. Then have the doctor tell me he has to refer me. By the time I get the referal, my foot will be fine. thank goodness for google and you tube!...See Moreyayagal
