Hi Toni, I have already taken foil off did that before i left the parking lot at the store. Came home repotted with good draing soil, took off as much wet soggy heavy soil as i could.I did try to rub or scrape off the spots ( I had read that rust would show a brown looking stain on a white paper towel.This showed nothing.I believe there are two plants in the pot ( seemed like it to me ) but I left them together there are about 6 or so leaves with the tiny brown dots on both sides. Everything else looks perfect. the leaves and flowers are in such good shape and it has new leaves growing. I thought it might be a mini because the flowers are so small, perfect but small. No tag and i will try to take a picture and see if i can post it. Thanks Ann

Make sure you look at used items -- so many people buy exercise machines, use them a few times, and then never use them again. They can be gotten for half price or less! Take a look at Craigslist.org for items in your area. Whether you buy used or new, you have to go try them out individually (and actually turn them on and try out the features), to figure out which one is best. Don't just go by price! As far as elliptical versus other machines -- I used an exercise bike for about 3 or 4 months, and it was all right (lost about 12 pounds on it), but I found that it was a little boring, and I don't like how it only works certain leg muscles. I also felt it wasn't enough of a cardio-vascular workout, too. So I went and got a treadmill, so I could rotate my workouts. I think you have to pick what sounds like what will work best for YOU, and what will get YOU excited to work out. If you pick an exercise machine that your SO thinks is best for you, but you're not excited about it, you won't want to work out on it, and then you won't work out.

beaner, I know you have this obsession with that volunteer callery pear seedling growing on the roadside. Fuzzy photos, but I'm suspecting that stuff is callus material/root primordia... doubt they'll root now... I'd have left 'em alone for at least 3 months, or until I could tell they had roots, before I cut them off. Read up on t-budding... you can t-bud from the object of your obsession onto a suitable rootstock (another pear),probably as early as late June.

blue is a wax coating on the leaf .... new growth is always bluest ... and then it starts wearing off ... lawn sprinklers ... rain ... especially when hot .. and wax is soft .. the blue also reflects the sky ... so color changes on cloudy days ... and when taking pix.. the bluest pic will be taken at dusk ... when the sky flashes pink ... i cant believe the 2 and 3rd pix are the same plant ... it looks just fine ... the top most needles ... must have taken a hit at transplant ... it will look much better .... after it leafs out for spring ... ken
