Feeling Sheepish
I have wanted a thick fluffy sheepskin-esque rug for my living room for the longest time, but I realize that a thick rug plus a shedding pet was a recipe for a vacuuming disaster. A disaster that would be too much for my even my beloved Dyson to handle. Though I love my little fluffy one, I still feel envious when I see a hint of shaggy on a rug or a chair or a throw.
I'm taking massive liberties with the term "sheepskin" here, but each image below was picked because it has some element in it that's at least kinda-sorta sheepskinish. Namely, something fabulously fluffy and shag-tastic.

This image is in a slew of my budding ideabooks; every element of it is so fab, from that lamp to the use of my favorite color combination, yellow, black & white. However, if I had to pick a favorite item, it's those shaggy chairs.
I snapped this photo when I was in too much of a hurry, hence the blurriness, but it's a simply smashing little area in the lobby of The Parker Palm Springs.
Tossing a little sheepskin throw over a butterfly chair is a great way to add texture to mimimalist and/or mid-century decor.
Love that whimsical little stool!
This regency room has been catching my eye since the first day I found Houzz. the thick rug adds to the glamor.
I'm sure there's something punny I could say about the black sheep of the family or something but I am going to resist, since I already made you suffer through "Feeling Sheepish" as a title!
The sheepskin throw over the settee is just one part of a mix of many textures and fabrics in this master bedroom.
Thick thick fluff on top of a smooth tile floor makes for great contrast.
The shape adds some good curves.
