"I don't want to be dismissed but it has to be working" I will tell you what my healthcare providers (the best in the business!) say, when I do something less than mainstream: If it works, then do it! As long as it isn't dangerous is the one qualification. St John's Wort is a good personal example. I wanted to take something after the flood, bankruptcy, divorce and SJW doesn't have any side effects. It worked well, and I loved it! Now, I don't take anything. Physicians know there is the "placebo effect" on the scientific side, so they at least understand that what you are doing could be working, only mentally, but it's still working. And there are many things that haven't had clinical trials, so evidence isn't there... yet. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. They realize the jury is still out on loads of things. Including diets. So keep on keepin' on. Whatever works for you is best. If your healthcare provider won't listen, then change. You shouldn't have to lie or hide what it is you do. For bras, check out Decent Exposures custom cotton bras. They are well worth it if you can scrape up the funds. I'll bluntly say that "the girls" tend not to look quite as nice as they might in a more structured bra (mine tend to drift back into my armpits - TMI! - so if I need to be "presentable" I need my underwires, feh) but you pick your battles... Ditto the Footsmart catalog. You can also try calling podiatrists' offices in your area and ask if there are any shoe stores where they direct their patients for good shoes in "odd" sizes like extra-narrow. If socks bother you, check out the "sensitive feet" or diabetic socks. Clothes are such a personal thing, we all vary so much in what sets us off. Snug waistbands, wristbands and collars are maddening for me - I haven't been able to wear a turtleneck sweater (which DO flatter me!) for years. Some days I just feel sunburnt from head to toe. Most FMers cut out tags although I have to put up with them because DH does the laundry and needs the washing instructions! I tend to wear soft cotton knits and flannels whenever I can possibly get away with it; if I'm at home and no one's going to see me except DH, t'ellwiddit, it's the cute flannel PJ pants (I even have leopard print ones) and t-shirt for me. They can be a little pricey sometimes but Land's End often has some nice knit pants that are perfectly presentable for wearing out in public with a pretty tunic top. I also like having what I call "throw-on dresses" in soft knits - definitely not muu-muus or Granny's "housedress", but almost as comfortable as wearing a nightie while being able to go run a few errands or visit with a friend without changing clothes. The Vermont Country Store website has some cute ones IMO. I try to avoid clothes that button up for when my hands aren't cooperating. Fashion be d@mned AFAIC. I'm sure it's possible to be fashionable while getting around these restrictions but it takes either being able to sew yourself or having pots of money. BTW, one problem I found with many of the printed-in "tags" on t-shirts and undies was that once they began to get worn, the paint or ink or whatever the info was printed with would crack and flake and create an itchy, prickly spot. I had to sit down with several garments and carefully pick off every bit of the peeling paint with tweezers. (Love my long beading tweezers.)

Good luck. The only medical advice I received about my Raynaud's is to move to Florida. My right hand is a mess every winter, often with open sores and fingernail damage. Since your problem is in your feet (that's how mine started 40 years ago), you can easily eliminate symptoms with disposable foot warmers that stick on your socks. I use these: Hot Hands Toe Warmers

I was a receptionist in a doctor's office for a while. I will say that it is very difficult to triage patients on the phone. I had people yell at me because I didn't consider (per doctor's instructions) their acne an emergency. And I had one fellow who asked for an appointment and when I offered him one two months out he accepted, then when I asked what was wrong (so I could tell whether to book 15 minutes or 30 minutes) he described a horrible painful infected spider bite. I insisted he needed to talk to the nurse so she could decide whether to send him to the ER or get him in that day. But he would have meekly accepted that appointment two months out. I was never offended when a patient asked to talk to the nurse (who was my mom). Because she actually had the training and if a patient felt I wasn't getting it right, I definitely wanted them to talk to someone with medical training. Most offices have an office nurse. So if you feel like the receptionist isn't giving you the priority you need, I would echo a comment above to ask for the nurse. If that doesn't work, I would again urge you to at least call around and see if another practice can see you sooner. Transferring medical records is fairly easy--they new office will probably have a form for you to sign and they will likely take care of sending it over to your old Doctor. No reason to stay with a practice that won't accommodate you when you are in pain if you can find one that will, IMO.
