That was funny, Iowa_jade, thanks. I checked the Waddle fences link: they look more fortified than the fences erected by Germans during Normandy invasion. Very impressive! Whatever you do, NEVER feed bunnies rancid sunflower seeds. I threw those on our patio. A few days later, there's bunnies' feces everywhere. They diarrhea-ed on the patio. Bunnies clean up their poop by eating them, except for sunflower seeds. I have to put up with the ghastly potty site until they dry up enough to sweep away. Seil will try Irish Spring Soap - I'll try one or two bars only, lest my backyard looks like a bubble bath in the wet spring. The old fashion baby-powder with talc is cheaper than perfume, so I'll sprinkle smelly baby-powder around roses. I'll try more than one methods (raw eggs & garlic, curry powder, hair spray, garlic chives) and will report the results.

OK...After 10 days of treatment, I'm ready to give Pet Flora a cautious, qualified thumbs for solving Odessa's loose&stinky stool problem. She has been totally off the Flagyl for 3 days, after a week of gradually reducing the dosage...and is still making perfectly formed,dark poops. Granted, this is not based on a scientifically controlled finding...but since July when I adopted her and the vet put her on Flagyl, every 7-10 days when I would try reducing the dosage, the problem started to re-occur within 36 hours. During that period I had her on a liquid pro-biotic that didn't seem to be making a difference. I definately think that the Flagyl got rid of some kind of bad stuff she had growing in there (in addition to being loose and smelly, the color was yellow even tho she tested neg for Giardia)...and perhaps the extended length of the course of the antibiotic was ultimately responsible for getting rid of the condition. But there was (while she was still on the full dose of Flagyl)a noticable improvement in her stool the day after her first Pet Flora capsule. Her diet has remained the same...I have had her on a diet of Wellness canned chicken (very little if any dry) for well over a month. Anyway...so far, so good, but I'm still going to reserve judgement until she's been completely off the antibiotic for another week. L

I am a sauna connoisseur with extensive experience. A study abroad in Northern Sweden gave me a unique perspective on saunas and has since motivated me to regularly use these tools of detoxification. Normal saunas I need at least 180 degrees, hotter the better I've sat at 240 before which is fantastic, but requires a built up tolerance. Some folks have said the sauna should be relaxing, but for me I see it as more of a challenge. Infrared or Inflared (not sure the correct term) saunas work differently. I have posted a picture of my personal sauna which folds easily and fits into a trunk, plugs into standard 115 volt outlet and just required a good stool and 4-5 towels. Keep in mind the longest I've sat in a normal sauna is 6 hours, this infrared sauna I've topped out at 3 hours, so it affects you differently. I can soak 5 towels thoroughly with extremely pungent sweat (we're talking yoga sweat). Usually I play a two hour film and try to sit through the whole thing. I drink a ton of water and the dark circles under my eyes dissapear, the sauna goes back thousands of years it is very proven technology. My skin has never been softer, enjoy. I paid 75 dollars on craigslist for this sauna and it has never let me down.

Doctors are just as capable of believing and promoting pseudo-scientific hogwash as those who are not doctors. Should someone who is 100 lbs overweight avoid red meat? yes. But it is because they are 100 lbs overweight, not because they are any particular blood type. It has been repeatedly demonstrated that high levels of "bad" cholesterol are detrimental to heart health, and some people have "genetic factors" that make them more prone to "bad" cholesterol based on dietary-cholesterol intake, but as far as I am aware no study has indicted blood type as a statistically significant indicator of these "genetic factors". And given how many studies have been run and how much money has been spent I'm confident that if there were any statistically significant correlation between blood type and a genetic pre-disposition for "bad" cholesterol it would have been detected. The surface of all cells have antigens, a sort of signature for determining friend or foe. When the body detects foreign antigens it it reacts with an immune response, which, in part, includes developing antibodies to help detect and react more quickly and more forcefully when these foreign antigens are encountered again. Human blood has three critically important antigens: "A", "B", and "D" (as well as a few dozen less important antigens). "Blood type" as expressed by the common parlance of "A+" "A-" B+" "B-" "AB+" "AB-" "O+" "O-" simply indicates the presence or absence of the three critical antigens on the blood cells of the person in question. They are a useful shorthand for determining whether a transfusion from one person to another would be life-threatening or would be likely to not be life-threatening. If you receive blood in a transfusion that has antigens that your blood doesn't have, your body can react with an immune response that can make you sicker rather than helping you. In the case of the A B and D antigens it will make you sicker and maybe kill you. That's it. That's what "blood type" means. Those who attempt to ascribe anything more to it such as red meat is bad for people with type A blood, or type O should avoid tomatoes or whatever are guilty of the same sort of specious (and sometimes dangerous) reasoning that says blond people are unintelligent, or those with darker skin are somehow less that human, or that eating ground up tiger penises will make you virile. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm attacking you. I'm not. I'm upset at the unwarranted certitude of the supposed doctors (who may in fact just be calling themselves doctors) who seem to believe that just because they went to school for a number of years, and they passed a test and they haven't yet killed enough people to have been stripped of their medical license that therefore any idea that they "really, really, really believe to be true" is scientifically valid. Lastly there is absolutely no relationship between the type-A personality type, and the blood type A except for the fact that they both chose letters from the same end of the alphabet.
