Neuropathy - Anyone have experience??

I was just diagnosed with Polyneuropathy. I started experiencing some numbness/tingling in my left toes several years ago, and after testing it was thought to be residual nerve damage from disc problems I had years ago. Then a couple of months ago the numbness/tingling suddenly spread farther up my foot, so I called the neurologist to get checked out again. I just had another nerve conduction test done, and I have definitely lost nerve function in both feet now. Hence the Poly part of the polyneuropathy. I need to have further testing to determine the cause of the neuropathy, as there are many causes, and up to 25% of cases they never find the cause. I had learned to deal with it when it was just my toes, but this is kind of freaking me out a bit. It's kind of strange, because it doesn't bother me much when I'm walking. I do notice a bit when I run, but it's most bothersome when I am just relaxing. Fortunately I don't have pain. I'm just worried about it spreading.
