What a touching and loving thing for you to do; your husband is a very lucky man. I too am not from your area but would think some of the smaller tea roses like Westside Rose Cream Tea would be wonderful; it blooms all the time and is bushy with lovely large blooms. There are wonderful climbers like Reve d'Or which bloom practically all the time. Cl. Pinkie is a darling rose you might consider. I hope that people from your area will chime in to help you with this wonderful project. The old roses like teas, Chinas and noisettes are beautiful and romantic, and will actually do better than many modern roses in terms of vigor and disease resistance. I lost my mother 11 years ago....not to cancer, but to a heart anuerism. I know everyone says that we are supposed to live life in their honor and make them proud, and thats what they would have wanted...but sadly, my heart still hurts. My body still goes numb time to time, and the memories of her make me cry everytime. Not a day goes by that I do not think about her, or wish I could see her and touch her one last time. I was waiting for the school bus. I was 14 years old and said that I would see her when I came home that day. She went to work, and sadly, the next time I saw her was in a casket. She was my everything, and now she is my angel. People say the pain eases with time, but I feel like the more time goes by, the more I miss her. The memories of her get weaker and weaker, which in turn makes me sadder and sadder. I am 26 years old, and sometimes I wish I could come home and hear my mother tell me everything is going to be ok. I try to talk to her, but i have yet to hear a reply. Life right now, for me, is a struggle. I cant get a teaching job and I feel like all of my hard work was a waste. I wonder if she would be proud, proud of her daughter who is a waitress. I dont know how to be happy anymore. I am trying to stay strong, but its difficult. As for money, well, maybe save it for your children so they can go to school. She left it to you to use for things that you will need in life. You are lucky, not because of money, but because your mom loved you enough to make sure even though she isnt here, she is still able to take care of you. She loved you more than you or I will ever know, as my mother did me. Life isnt easy, and she always told me that. Stress is what killed her, and I feel like if things dont change I may end up the same. I want a family, and children, and most of all happiness. Thats all any parent wants for their babies. No matter what age you are, no matter how or why they die, they just want to see us happy. She is always with you in your heart, you know...and she is in every breeze that blows by. Just close your eyes and when you feel like you cant take it anymore, just remember that its ok to be upset, its ok to cry, and its ok to feel like you want to scream and tear your house apart...it doesnt matter what coulve been, how often you saw or didnt see her...she loved u just the same and she always knew you loved her too...I know how you feel. Our mothers are our angels now...

Hello every one! I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you 3 for your words. Much appreciated! Lulie, Can't imagine how it is to later also loose your 19 year old. Some say it's even "harder" than loosing a parent. Though, in my humble opinion, a loss is a loss. We feel the same hurt and emotions. Although, I obviously miss her very much, I am happy she didn't really suffer and that it was relatively quick. Just felt it was too soon and definitely preventable. Makes me a little angry thinking about it to tell you all the truth. If only she had been willing to see the doctor on a regular basis. Unfortunately that was her own choosing. I realize there was nothing I could have done there. I keep thinking of that point over and over from time to time. I know I shouldn't. To avoid thinking about the "...should have, could have..." scaariios. How did you get from the day you lost your mother/daughter to this day? Just try to take things one day at a time? Keeping busy doing things you normally would have done? Curious. Any one can comment on this btw... Me, I'm just taking it day by day. As I said. Lately, it's just the mornings that are hard for some odd reason. As the day goes on I have an "easier" time. Though, for the past few days, my mornings have been better. Shorter bouts of saddness. Jennmonkey, As I mentioned. I'm presently unemployed so I haven't gone through what you just mentioned yet. Though, when I was working I never called home to my mother. I think it's coming home after work and not seeing her around that might hit me initially. Or not. I don't know. Can I ask you how it was being only 19 and loosing your mother at that time? If it's too hard to talk about I'll understand. I'm just thinking that is about the time you're in University preparing for your life. How for some people it might hinder their ability to function. Especially in such a difficult time. And I though my time with my mother was "short"...39 years. Also can I ask you how old you are now? I just hope I don't suddenly loose control of my emotions at work. Maybe I'm a little old fashioned. That "men shouldn't cry" at least in public. I suppose it's the same either way when you're at work. You don't want your co-workers to think you're freaking out. Going postal. That and you don't really want to tell them all you had recently lost a parent and treat you "special". Any how, thanks again for your comments people! I will definitely keep you posted. i m so very sorry for you dear...you know one fine day,same thing happened with me and u know what i got a call that my parents have died in an accident..i was not at all prepared and had met them a couple of hours before...this happened on 27th april '08...my younger brother was driving the car ...he is just 24,i m 27 and my mom dad were in their early 50's...today i cant even accept and believe that they r gone..i just keep calling them to talk and all but no body picks call...i keep calling them try to talk to them..it pains so much and i always keep crying....i m not able to believe they r gone and i dont have a family to go to..me n my brother were so dependent on them...I know my dear it is going to be very difficult,it hurts a lot ..mom is a mom then... but try to involve yourself in your family members love them u have DAD...support him emotionally...try to cherish the good moments u have shared together i know its difficuly,for me too it is... i have a BIG blank in my life ...since that say i have sleepless nights and haunting mornings telling me something is missing... but I hope God gives us strenght to carry on...hugs my dear...
