spudmom - I worked at the Twin Dragon restaurant for years. Right behind The Torch. Before it was a "gentlemen's club" (as Cathy do delicately put it. LOL). The opened one up here a few years ago. Lots of beatings and stabbings surrounding that block now. Here's how I make mine, sounds a little denser than the method lilliepad uses: Batter for deep fried chicken or finger steaks 2 egg whites 4 tablespoons cornstarch 4 tablespoons soy sauce Mix well and add chicken strips (boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into 1" strips) or beef strips (cube steak cut into 1" strips). Set aside. 1 cup of bisquick 2/3 cup of water 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds (if using for almond chicken or sweet&sour chicken) Mix well and add to chic or beef mixture. Mix together well (coating all meat) and deep fry until golden. Serve with cocktail sauce or Bloomin' Onion Dip: Bloominâ Onion Dipping Sauce 1/2 cup mayonnaise 2 teaspoons ketchup 2 tablespoons cream-style horseradish 1/4 teaspoon paprika 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano Dash ground black pepper Dash cayenne pepper

ahhh Moni!! so glad you saw this...It's been around for awhile, in fact I posted it on my facebook page quite awhile ago...It makes me cry everytime and let me tell you how it feels to be the flight attendant working that flight...I've been on two and it's all I can do to keep it together...the whole situation is very moving and very respectful to our fallen soldiers... It's one of the reasons I work the military charters as often as I can...we owe so much to the veterans and soldiers who are keeping our country safe...providing them with a good and fun flight is the least I can do...several flight attendants acknowledge the soldiers on our flights and thank them for their service to our country...working these flights is my own little personal way of thanking them for our service to our country!! As far as Lee Greenwood...that man rocks!! He has done more USO tours than any other star known...I had a chance to meet him several years ago when Delta did a party thanking the military...He was there and spoke and told why he wrote the song...His Daddy was a WW2 vet (navy) and it was done in his honor...I had on my nephews bracelet who was killed in the Pentagon on 9/11...I made my way to the front of the crowd to meet him and gave him Jack's bracelet...he grabbed me and hugged me and told me he would be honored to wear my nephews bracelet...It meant the world to me!! DELTA LOVES THE MILITARY!! and we are proud to serve them!!

A while ago there were suggestions that Obama should do something. Let's not forget, that in recent times they've been dropping their drilling bits down through a whole mile of water before they even start drilling for the oil. And off Newfoundland, they're going even deeper. Bush Senior ... was an oil man. Bush Junior - another oil man. Condoleesa Rice was well connected in the oil industry. Cheney was, also. And I've heard suggestions that he was involved with a substantial amount of deregulations, back then. We know that the oil industry types chafe under regulations. The banking people do, as well. It seems to me that when employees, regardless of how high up they are in an organization, almost run their company into the ground, so much so that it takes multiple billions ot taxpayers' money to bail them out ... ... that they deserve to be fired, rather than to feel justified in demanding major bonuses at year end. ole joyful

Seems to me much depends on how you would react. It's a pretty good bet that you've both changed over the years and maybe you'll be closer or maybe you'll be farther apart. If the person is much younger, perhaps they'll be involved more in their own life, raising kids, work, hobbies, etc so you might not get a lot of time. If that sort of thing would bother you, don't do it. If it wouldn't bother you and you really are interested, I'd say go ahead. The issue of their arrest, to presume that they'd "know" or "think" that you'd know is pretty presumptuous. If it's a concern, maybe you should find out what it's about. Sounds like you don't care so no big deal. I'm concerned as anyone about personal safety and the like but I don't run scared thinking that everyone in the world will attack me. Checking with someone to see how they're doing is a pretty LOW likelihood of great danger or of them camping out on your doorstep or moving in with you, unless you want it. There's been a couple people I've wanted to touch base with over the years. On research I've found some are dead. Others I didn't find, though I didn't search too hard either. Good luck with whatever decision you make.
