Pls Help: I think my hardwood floors may be too short.

I have been a frequent visitor to this forum (and have benefitted greatly from it!), but this is my first post, and it is prompted by a somewhat urgent situation.

We ordered 2400 sq ft of Elegance Hardwood Floors in Santos Mahogany 3/4" x 5". We expected variable plank lengths ranging between 1' and 7' (as we were told by the salesman). But, when we opened the boxes, we discovered nearly all pieces were 2' long, with a couple 3' and 18" pieces per box.

The company we purchased from as well as our installer assured us that this was typical with exotics, but since he was referred to us by the flooring store we aren't sure we can trust his input on this.

Question: Are these planks too short? Will the floors look choppy with such short planks? Or, is our installer correct that this is typical?

If you have exotic hardwood floors in your home, how long are your plank lengths?

Thank you in advance for any input! I very much appreciate it.
