Florence, I'm really sorry this isn't resolved yet and continues to bring her pain. I'm sure that watching it is very hard on you, you probably feel so helpless. Divorce sucks and the fact that it was him that wanted it and is now turning the kids against her is a huge slap in the face, I have some choice names for him, but surely can't put them here. Is she in PA? If she was in NJ, I have an awesome attorney. My guy would probably have him in contempt of something by now. You ask, if it's legal for him to do this. Probably. I don't know the specifics but sounds like she is getting an apartment & he is keeping the house, and when she called the truck to come, he probably figured she was almost done. I actually would do the same thing, especially if I was moving back in, which it sounds like he is doing. The thing is, he could have said that he needed her out by such & such and after that she'd need to make arrangements to get in due to the locks, but who knows, maybe he's afraid she would lock him out? IMO, Robyn is probably better off to just get her stuff and go. The sooner she does that, the sooner what ever kids will stay with him can get settled and if I'm right, they will see all too soon exactly who they should have lived with (not him.) Kids are strange. As you know I'm divorced twice; there's been times my son stood up for his dead beat instead of me, or my girl did so. Now that it's been years, the truth has come out and they know who was lying and who wasn't. It's funny how my girl is now remembering everything. Robyn has to learn to forgive the kids for what is going on now, as much as it hurts. Even though it sounds like they are older, they're still feeling this and probably don't know what to believe. Everything will work out in the end, it's just going to take time to get there. Rick will get his eventually. Karma is like that.

I've had a couple issues there myself. I guess there are some issues with how they came across because I did spend some time crying about it off and on. I thought, kind of like Lisa, that I was being too sensitive. Now, with all the different opinions, it definitely seems they have some problems with how they communicate to their members. I still think their hearts are in the right place, but they should work with how they communicate what they need to, or basically, they need to work on how they come across to others. Cody used the word "reprimand" which is very much how they come off. Anyways, Lisa, I'm glad you've successfully completed so many "trades" there as they call them. I've been trading there for over a year and haven't done near that many! There are some great members there as you get to know the individuals. I'm glad I blew off the issues there to be able to get to know some of the great gardeners/people in the group. Blessings, Angela

Wildchild - At least insurance will pay for your teeth sometimes, wow, there is no excuse for that Jannie - If DH has that kind of money for that kind of thing, I'll tell him a nice set of pearls or diamond earings can magically make your chest look bigger - let him think about that one for awhile - bless his little heart..

It could also be that it will take more time. We had a bad time of it about 5 years ago, losing our two older cats and then a kitten within a short period of time, leaving us with our other kitten and many months to go before kitten season rolled around again (so we could get our remaining kitten a companion). Finally, 5 months later, when our kitten was almost 9 months old, we were able to bring home a 7 week old bundle of trouble! Our 9 mo old took to her right away, although having been a shy rescue kitten herself, she did sit back and stopped playing with the toys, allowing the frenetic little (more dominant personality) newcomer to take over. They played together and groomed each other from the start, though our older kitten did not like it when the recently weaned baby tried to nurse on her, and let her know it! We brought home the younger kitten the beginning of May that year, and our older kitten's mood and behavior with us and just in general, definitely changed and we qualified it as depression as well. Again, she was fine with her new sibling, but just acted differently (seemed sad, didn't play with her toys, didn't crawl under the covers at night....) and it killed us (especially after all we'd gone through the previous year). This went on through the summer. The two kittens played with each other, chasing, wrestling, etc. The new kitten had to be wherever the other one was, but would lie down nicely for about 5 minutes and then start tussling and "biting" and our older kitten would get up and leave. Other than that, our older kitten seemed happy to have a playmate, but continued to act differently with us. Finally, in September, we saw glimmers of our cat's "old" personality and I'm happy to say that she seemed more and more like herself again as time went on. It's only been a month in your case, that's not very long, so perhaps waiting it out isn't such a bad idea. Don't forget, he's also still grieving for/missing his longtime companion. I'd continue to give him extra attention when and however you can (lock the little ones out of the bedroom and coax your boy out from under the bed with some treats?).
