Can anyone help ID an unusual table from description?

I keep thinking about an unusual (at least to me) table I saw today in an antique store. Didn't have a camera with me, unfortunately. I'm assuming it's a writing desk, but am not sure.

Mahogany, vintage (I believe), with Duncan Phyfe-style pedestal legs on each end. Long and narrow (think server or sofa table) but slightly curved, with small drop-leaves on both ends and a brass railing on top. If you sit at it, the leaves extend out around you (at your sides) and the railing would keep papers in place. About 80" long by 25" deep with the leaves unopened.

Sound familiar to anyone? I really liked it and have never seen anything similar. Any idea of value?

Thanks! I know it's tough without a photo.
