Thanks y'all! You mean the world to me. I napped, read, and ate. That was it. And I enjoyed it totally. As you may remember, I have five brothers and sisters, all married, all with children, and all within a 30 minute drive (except Beth and Chuck right now) and I didn't see any of them. On purpose. Just me, mom, and the LF. Quiet and joyful. It's gotten exponentially better since we moved. Nothing has gone majorly wrong since then (after two years of it), and life is so very joyful these days. LF and I even spent the day figuring out where we're going on vacation. It was great to have to decide where, not if. It's gonna be a fantastic year!

Thanks for asking Annie. I'm one of those people that spend a week celebrating. This past Sunday was my biological family. We had lunch out and then cake at my mom's house. Tuesday night was the big night out, that in the past would've been my husband (still not ex) and son, but since I am separated, just me and the son. We went to Ja Alexander's and had grilled artichokes, baked chicken and smashed potaotes. I had a cappuccino and carrot cake and he had carrot cake. :) Wednesday was lunch with the work friends, emails from friends accross the US (including here on GardenWeb (((big smiles!!!)))), and the research nurses, lab, and my counterpart had two cakes (my counter part's birthday is today). I did't do anything last night but slay the cake dragon. That is, I made the cake with too much baking powder again with less baking powder and upped the butter on Sol's suggestion. It actually looked like a cake! I ate horribly and loved every morsel. Gravy covered livers in a crispy coating, bad girl! Mmm. I'll probably do one more big night out with my mom who wanted to take me out last night, but I didnt' feel like it and she needed to meet with a realtor last night anyhow. She seemed disappointed, and I think that her not coming over was why. It's been nice, but I am getting so much sugar I am ready for some veggies! I appreciate all the nice wishes. I really do. Thanks for all the birthday wishes! It was a fabulous day in the end. Really close friends who moved 3.5 hours away last summer came up and then there was a small catered surprise party. I figured out the surprise shortly before the part but it was still fabulous. DH chose food really well even given my food snobbery and I did not have to plan or clean a thing. When we got home Dh told me our friend was going to stay at our house with her 3 children, my 2 children and her dog while we went and stayed in their condo at a ski resort. The weather was gorgeous and even though I don't ski it was the best. We just enjoyed each other. Annie, the chicken mortality was completely out fault as we did not close up their run one night and a hungry, we think fox, had a feast. The boys learned about the food chain a little better and the parents learned not to be so stupid and trusting. A fox in the city, who knew? That weekend we went to a local Easter egg thing and the boys told the person in a chicken suit to watch out for foxes. -Robin

Thank you all so much! Very kind of you. Yes, I was celebrating and will be celebrating. Just got a chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting. It's not too early for cake is it?! HA! I kill myself.
