I was going to suggest there, or up in the Barossa Valley in Williamstown (On the way out to Springton/Birdwood) there is a place that sell half and whole wine barrels very cheaply.

My LR is not quite as large. It is 20 x 30 I have a centered FP and patio doors flanking the FP. I have a 10 X 14 rug centered on the FP there now. It is just barely big enough. I could go 12 X 15 but that runs into walking paths and bookcase area. Plus I have a second seating group that needs a second rug. My main seating group will have sofas facing each other, perpendicular to the FP. I need a 11 x 16 to do this right in my room, but I will make due until I find THE perfect rug. Not knowing what your budget is; I found very inexpensive rugs and bought several on esalerugs .com. They have all types; from reasonable, to wow who pays that for a rug! I bought two, tried them in place, they did not work and returned them. This place makes it very easy! Full refund and free shipping and returns. I have spoken with the CS dept several times and they are polite and courteous. I suggest getting several rugs for your various seating groups and trying them out.

Esmaili Rugs and Antiques, Inc. ingrid_vc so. CA zone 9 I like the light colored one best I think... and I definitely want a modern pattern. I found a local retailer who can do custom size rugs (even custom variations of rug patterns in store with colors we match / pick out). I checked this one out. Was thinking I could even change the black to blue? But I kind of like the black for contrast. Or is that too many colors? Or should I go for more COLOR? I need COLOR IN MY LIFE! But, I could do that with pillows, art, and accessories..... ? I am planning on doing automatic shades, not drapes, in this room.. prob neutral so won't add much color. Also, don't mind the outdoor furniture that's all bunched up against the window... and I just put the orange pillows on the sofa to try and get some color going for reference. You all are so much help!

Thanks for those layout options artistsharonva. I am going with option 1. Or perhaps option 2 if I can’t find a large enough rug. Good advice! :)
