help me find the perfect kitchen faucet!
Comments (16)Whoa, those Waterstone faucets are amazing!! There might be a little too much going on with that giant sprayer for me, though... But I LOVE the other traditional faucets they have. Their contemporary faucets have discreet pull down spouts. I don't understand why they don't offer something like that on their traditional faucets. And further, i don't understand why all of the other pull-downs have such gigantic heads!? I have seen some of the others you mention. I think my problem is this: some of them (the Kohler and Whitehaus, for example) have a very traditional styling to them, but they don't actually have an antique design. They just have traditional curves... The Waterworks, the Waterstones, and numerous others actually reproduce an antique design. I really like those hook spouts, I realize, and it seems the old faucets were always trim--nothing thick and bulbous... Does that make sense?...See MorePlease help me pick the perfect chocolate
Comments (27)Well, after living with it for a few days, the Peppered Pecan is growing on me. It is a nice rich color. I think once I pull off all the blue tape and get everything up and installed, pictures and towels hung, etc., it will recede into the background. When you are staring at nothing but a wide expanse of wall, you notice any and every perceived flaw with the color. I absolutely love my satiny cream and cafe au lait shower curtain, though. I finally hung it last night and I don't think it would look as good up against a lighter paint color. I also love the way my pale aqua rugs and towels stand out against the color. Can't wait to find more turquoise and aqua accessories to add. I really am falling in love with aqua for some reason!...See MoreTough spot! Help me find the perfect tree.
Comments (22)I am real close to 7a, so I kinda try to go by both. You might want to look for 6b/7a. If you are 7a and the neighbor's house is brick and with all the stone around that is going to help keep the temps from swinging a lot. If your house is also brick, that will help also. Google "micro-climates", that will explain it better than I can. With zone 7, you should be able to grow crepes, Just stay away from the ones from Florida mail order. If you get them locally, they should be right for your zone. Now, there are a LOT of colors and they come in a lot of sizes, from the original big ones to dwarf sizes. Some of them form a tree form better than others, but all can be trained. Just PLEASE don't commit "crepe murder". That's where every spring they are cut to a 4ft to 6ft stump and let to sprout out....See MorePotato salad with leftover baked potatoes?
Comments (32)Or just leave them in their foil until they turn the color of my toe and throw them out. :) The toe is healing nicely, thank-you, and car #1 has finally gone to the dealership. Car #2 is still being fixed. I did get to do a couple of errands after the tow, and now my other ankle is complaining about taking up the balance duties of the opposite pinky. I should cook, but I think I'm playing hooky tomorrow. ;) I was out eating a romaine-free salad tonight, but did filch some fries from my companion, who never finishes them anyway. They were way too salty, but really good. Better than usual. The too salty was probably the improvement. ;) 2Many, no apologies! That's hysterical. Well the potatoe is hysterical. The quip is smile-worthy. All good. I've often seen a hand of ginger, but that's the first foot of potato I've seen! Sherry, that rock sounds as immovable as the bathtub! "Restaurant size" potatoes is what they're called. though, as you say, many restaurants serve larger ones. Two pounds though? Wow. I can't imagine wanting to bring home an uneaten half of a potato the way I would half a chicken serving or half a sandwich. And here I thought one pound potatoes were huge!...See MoreIslay_Corbel
