Help! water damage on hardwood floor that's on concrete slab

Please help! Our water heater broke and now we have water damage on our red oak hardwood floor in our study(water heater is in closet off the kitchen and study). We are on a slab floor. I told DH that on this forum others have posted about water on hardwood and advice was to get out the heaters so mold doesn't set in. However, DH said that since we are on a slab floor, it will be very difficult for the hardwood to dry out. Now, what do we do? Will we get mold underneath the hardwood? Some of the planks have curled up-others, one can see the water seeping through the planks. Advice is so desperately needed. Thanks to anyone who can help.
