Shirley- thanks for the information-I traded for six years on a few sites but none of those names seems familiar. I took some time off, [ still planting of course] but didn't do any trades, except with family and friends locally. I really miss trading with online friends as I learned so much and received varieties I had never even heard of. It was a great experience and much fun. I don't post all day everyday as I work a lot of hours and now I have a grand baby that I try to spend my extra time with. I will watch for the April exchange. We have unseasonable warm weather so I have the itch early. I didn't do any winter sowing, now I regret it. I was organizing my seeds al day yesterday...it sure was fun. I am looking forward to getting to know and share seeds/plants with you~

Haley, that sounds like SUCH a nice idea! And that's one of my favourite Veggie Tales songs.... from Madame Blueberry, yes? :) Bearcat, we kept ours simple, too. 1 year olds generally get overwhelmed quickly. For Sophie we had a few friends/relatives over for a visit, dinner and cake. With Benjamin, we went and played at Chuck E. Cheese for an hour or so (just the 4 of us and his 2 grandmas) and then had cake at home. Oliver's getting even less for his first... this year we're planning on doing a joint party for all three kids, since their birthdays are all very close. Backyard potluck barbeque with 5 or 6 families with games and stuff. We're going to request that instead of presents, the guests bring a dish to contribute to the meal. Sorry, that was absolutely useless as far as creative ideas go. :) Really, whatever you do will be fun for him. 1 year olds are so easy to please! Just take bazillions of pictures. Wow, girl, I can't belive your still around! Sorry your still on this site where no one else is! I'm so glad to see Johnny is doing so well, my son, Tom, turned one on June 21st and is doing exactly all the same things Johnny is, aren't they great! Like I had told you last time I talked to you, I'm pregnant again, now 6 and half months along! Getting pretty big! My husband has since became a stay at home dad and it's working great, he's teaching Tom so many things, every afternoon when I get home, he's always got something new to show me that he has learnd that day :) Hey, keep in touch, we all miss you! A new toy!! How nice!! I remember how excited I was when I bought my new sewing machine. Definately take advantage of any classes that are offered.... it is the best way to get questions answered you may have. (as you 'play' with your machine...keep jotting down those questions, nothing worse than forgetting what you wanted to ask! Quilting is a wonderful hobby. What other way can you relax and make something along the way. Not to mention the nice people you meet. Great way to trade fabric, and learn new techniques. Enjoy the adventure. Welcome. ~Barbara
