I have found several websites for stores all over the US, as far away as WA, that sell their furniture. I'm glad to hear that a start-up furniture manufacturer in NC can still make it in this economy. I respect the fact that you did not wish to deal with them in the past if you encountered q/c issues. That's a sign that you truly care about quality, an all-too-rare occurrence these days! FLS does have their own in-house credit program, but from what I understand it has only been in place recently. Their credit terms are very strange, though. For all custom orders, full payment is required in advance. For other purchases, a 33% deposit is required, check, cash, etc. only. Then the COD amount has to be cashier's check or money order. Their store "credit card" can only be use for 100% of the sale up front and not for COD balances. They also mention 6 months same as cash upon approved credit, but evidently that must not apply to custom orders - it's confusing. They also mention 11.99% Reduced APR, then later it says, "Annual Percentage Rate: 21.90%." Very strange. The FLS salesman was the same height as my husband and was so helpful, which was a reason I initially wanted to do business with him, but I just can't deal with their terms. They claim to be "the WorldÂs Largest Home Furnishings Showplace," yet my Discover card isn't good enough for them. Not great customer service in my opinion. Thanks also for the H&M and BY recommendations. I had actually made a note of those same models. I'm glad to know you have the Sadler in your own home. I plan to call a couple of local stores that sell those brands to see if they have those particular models on the floor. We may be interested in your offer if we decide we still like the MC recliner - I'll email you off-list if we do. If we end up deciding on the H&M or BY, we may also be interested in ordering from a particular store in northern Virginia that I've read good things about ;^)

If you paid $ 7K for a B-Y sofa, someone took you to the cleaners and back again. You overpaid by double for any sofa in the line. I've been a B-Y dealer for over 30 years, and quite honestly there's a lot of bad information in the above threads. I have very few issues with B-Y, it's made in the USA and they back their product well. While its not at the level of Hancock and Moore, it's not H&M price points, either. Most people don't know this, but the single largest cost in making a leather sofa is the hide itself, and B-Y uses good leathers, same as Hancock and Moore. The second largest cost factor is the foam (not the frame as everything thinks). Here's where premium lines like H&M excel, they use the best foam and lots of it in places where B-Y skimps, the back panels, side panels, arm caps, etc. Third is the frame, B-Y is an all-plywood line, H&M is a mix of plywoods in motion pieces, and still uses solid hardwood in stationary. Finally labor, and here H&M does detail tailoring that you won't find on B-Y, not even close. Myself? I buy Hancock and Moore for my home. If you are buying leather motion furniture, the most important elements for longevity are the quality of the leather itself (should be all top-grain, no bonded, no bi-cast, no splits, no vinyl combos) and the mechanism itself. Mechs should only be either Leggett and Platt or Ultra-Mek, and both are marked with a label on the mechanism itself when you extend it. Hi! It's not me who has the Tuxedo sofa. Mine is the Kent Chesterfield and I got it from Craigslist. This is the best pic I have of it, taken just after the eBay coffee table arrived. The two chairs that I have in there were bought for a sofa that is now in my basement; (shown in the second pic below) one is leather and the other is a Dan Carithers by Sherrill. What ties everything together IMO in the room is the rug, since the H&M sofa was an unplanned purchase that I just HAD to have. This is embarrassing, but the best pic I have of the leather chair. The pic will be 5 years old this Thursday! The other chair is impossible to photograph and have the colors come through but it's a tiny woven grayish blue and tan check which is perfect with the lighter blues in the rug. Many changes have been made since this pic was taken. Oops - just found this attempt of trying to capture the chair colors correctly. It didn't happen.

I love the Chloe recliners - very stylish and they do look very similar to the rolled arm couch. Do you know what color leather they are? I can tell just by looking at it that DH will probably find the H&M recliner very comfortable, so we'll start with those two. Mitch - I would like to have a couch and loveseat with the two recliners, but DH wants the recliner facing the television (his big screen, of course!) and there's a fireplace on the wall adjacent to the chairs, so I was planning on using two upholstered chairs on the other side of the room, in front of the entertainment wall and facing the recliners. Since I can't block the television, I think any extra seating along that wall will have to be either 2 smaller chairs or a bench. I really like the picture above with the two couches facing each other and the chairs between, but that won't work with my somewhat odd floor plan (the fireplace is actually directly centered between the living room and dining room).
