Making crisp cookies

FYI

I've been trying out various chocolate chip cookie recipes for some time now. I've noticed that in the recipe, it calls for 1 cup butter. When I use half Crisco shortening and half butter, they stay crisp for days. When I use all butter, the crispiness disappears quickly.

Also, instead of the 1 tsp baking soda called for in the recipe, I use half baking soda and half baking powder.

This works for me! LOL
