12''x18'' rectified tiles -- what width grout line?

As part of our ever-expanding kitchen remodel, we're having our 4'x12' entry hall retiled with Palais rectified, colorbody porcelain tiles by Crossville. With our KD's help, we decided on the 12"x18" tiles set in a sort of running bond pattern with a grey/green grout color that is very close to the main color of the tile.

I just noticed that the job description calls for a 1/8" grout line. Because the tile is rectified and its pattern "combines the looks of 3 types of French limestone", I'm thinking the tiles will look better with a 1/16" grout line instead. What do you think?

Also, after reading the old thread "rectified tile and grout joints... am I asking too much?", I'm wondering if I should expect to be charged significantly more for this type of tile installation. What can I expect, and do you think it would be worth the extra expense?

Thanks for your help!
