Opinion Needed: Hancock and Moore Reupholster

My Hancock and Moore sofaÂs leather is cracking. There is one crack on a seat cushion that is approximately 2" long. The leather seems to be drying out as there are thousands of small surface fissures and the feel of the surface is very rough. The sofa is about 22 years old.

My question is whether it is worth trying to find a person to reupholster with new top quality leather? What do I need to consider? I live in Potomac, MD a Washington, DC suburb; does anyone have recommendations on upholsterers in my area, leather/materials, or how to go about the process or experiences to share? Should I just buy a new sofa and avoid the process? The frame is in good shape. The only other problem is that some of the hooks that keep the seat cushions in place are missing and these cushions always seem to move around more than I like even when all the hooks were in place.
