I didn't do that one, but I did the Novalis plank from Lowe's in my kitchen. I chose it because my darned dishwasher sometimes floods my floor. Plus with dogs there is no shortage of water on my kitchen floor, whether it's tracked in melting snow or whatever. This morning I accidentally kicked a dog water bowl all over the floor. It was extremely easy to lay. It looks real. My old floor (PO) was white and I was mopping it 5 times a day (I'm not kidding) all last winter with the dogs tracking across it. This one doesn't show dirt and I can vacuum or mop it every couple of days and it looks great. I'm really glad I made this change. There is a thread on the flooring board about the Novalis. I read that before I installed this floor.

Yes, we have the Lowes Surface Source vinyl plank and love it. I installed it myself - 1500 square feet in 4 days! It was very easy to install and it looks professional if I do say so myself (but others have also said so). Install when the temperature is in the range specified (75-80) for best results, otherwise it may shrink or expand too much and lead to problems. We love the floor. Only thing I would have wanted more is real wood, but this was 80 cents per sq ft and DIY install. It is so easy to clean and people remark that it looks like real wood, and looks better than more expensive laminate. Best of all it is silent, unlike laminate over an uneven subfloor - no worry abut squeaks crackles etc. ANd no worry about moisture getting on it (though if you have moisture come up from underneath mold could grow, since it doesn't breath). We're still finishing the place but here are some pics of the flooring install and painting. I need to take some after pics but my camera broke!! pics before during and after install

Arlan We had the Engage Genesis flooring installed in our new home toward the end of 2017. The floor was fine for about a year and a half. After that, the planks started separating in a number of different spots. I contacted the manufacturer through their customer service link and they suggested filing a complaint through the company we purchased it from so they could send out an inspector to figure out what was happening. The inspection was done in October of 2020. The manufacturer sent a letter to the company we bought it from saying it was an installation problem. After a year and a half???? We have heard nothing since, so I guess we are supposed to just live with a floor that is falling apart?

We've had several threads about Sono vinyl by Inhaus. It has not been pretty. CoreTec on the other hand is very well known and well respected by homeowners and flooring professionals. If you must have vinyl or plastic floors, CoreTec is the most common name on the N. American market. What are the floors throughout the rest of the home? Do you anticipate 'adding' to the vinyl product in the future? Are you aware that most man-made products have a shelf-life of 18 -24 months? After that you won't find them other than on Craigslist by people trying to get rid of a couple of boxes.
