Wow, absolutely gorgeous! I need to study this in much more detail later for my planned kitchen reno (still planning...) , but for now, did you look into the distance between that range and the 15" deep uppers? I had asked here, https://www.houzz.com/discussions/dilemma-pro-range-hood-and-ikea-15-uppers-dsvw-vd~5416025 I had asked, So, the plan was to get a 30" Viking gas range, 36" hood, and IKEA cabinets, which are 15" deep for the uppers. Kind of like this but wider hood. Reading the installation guide, I now see that a minimum of 18" distance between range and hood (check) as well as 6" side clearance are required if the uppers are deeper than 13" (which they are). I was basically told that this set up above is a no no with IKEA's new deeper uppers unless I pull the base cabs forward.

I have been in my home 10 years and I am finally ready to do my crummy kitchen. We did all the mechanicals first, plumbing, electrical, roof, etc. Then we started with the interior spaces, first the downstairs bathroom, then the downstairs rooms. Then a full upstairs gut to the studs, and now the kitchen. I wanted to do the kitchen the minute I moved in, but it ends up being the last room done. We have made small changes, like paint, lighting and new appliances, but until I could afford to do what I wanted, with the finishes I wanted, I held off.

I should have worded my original post a little better. Walls will be painted agreeable gray and cabinets will be painted alabaster. Light fixtures will also be updated regardless. I am exploring the thought of updating the flooring and/or countertops. Mostly looking for ideas and price options to update those two. Trying to see what the cost would be and deciding on if I am able to go ahead and replace both now if it isn’t so expensive or which one to update first with the other being replaced later on (within a year.)

pull up the carpet in the bathroom and throw down sheet vinyl. Like everyone else says live there and make sure no other major catastrophes come along before you renovate. Our first week in our home we found out the line to the outside water was cracked and I tried to water the new flower bed and flooded the basement! I have been in my home for 12 years and my husband stuck to "mechanicals first" before he let me deep dive into renovation. 5 years in the roof came before the kitchen, then the upstairs gut came before the kitchen. 10 years in I got the kitchen and I am so glad I waited because I really knew what I needed for our lifestyle. We tackled one major project a year, paid cash for it, and slowly got the home we love. Save the reno money for now, put it in a high yield account, and let time add to your bankroll. edited to add my small kitchen came in about 60k, in 2021, for a 1500sf bungalow. We moved a wall, the pantry. doors, reconfigured most of the space and I installed custom cabinetry. I used the original floors found under 3 layers of linoleum and a subfloor. All new electrical and some plumbing changes, including moving the gas line and adding a water line for the fridge. That number doesn't include the chimney repair we needed when we decide to expose the chimney and discovered we needed a new liner, or all the peripherals like décor, furniture, and lighting fixtures.
