I have a diningroom set made by Shermag that I bought through Rose Furniture in NC. Macy's carries this line of furniture so that you can check out the quality if you have a Macy's near you. They are a good mid-level manufacturer with good value for the money. They have a set similar to the style you are looking for. They have two china cabinets in the Florence style - one is a curio china that is 36" wide and the other is a buffet with a china hutch on top. The buffet is about 60" with the hutch stepping back to 51".

Have you looked at the Room & Board website/catalog? They have some retail stores, too; I'm assuming you are in Calif., based on your profile? Two stores there, tho I know Calif. is a big place and they might be a trek.

You can also try West Elm.

I can vouch for Room&Board, just bought a dresser..very well made, and the maple color is beautiful.

Thanks for all your suggestions, everyone! I ended up ordering a Canadel set. I liked their quality for the $$ and I could customize just about everything on the table and hutch. I chose the more contemporary hutch and was able to get it in a 48" width, AND the boat shaped table top I wanted. Now I just hope everything is delivered okay with no problems.

Bumping this up to let y'all know that my Canadel dining set came yesterday. I am so happy with it!! Anyone considering this line should rest assured that it is solidly made with beautiful craftsmanship. The finish is applied evenly, dovetailed drawers, not a staple or glue dollop in sight. I ordered a dining table, six chairs and a china/buffet. The only sad thing is as soon as the delivery men set it up and we inspected and signed off, we had to dissemble the table and move all the pieces to the family room (and they are heavy!). Our remodel is STILL not done and we still need to have our wood floors finished, so it will probably be another month before we can enjoy it. Wonderful line and I highly recommend it to those who want a well made set but don't want to pay heirloom quality prices.

Next time look at Saloom. It will make Canadel look like an old Chevy, better made (in the USA too), and it costs about the same. www.Saloom.com, and it looks and feels even better in person.

I'm sure it's a lovely line, mogator88. And I did check it out before I settled on the Canadel, but I needed sizes they didn't offer. I liked the Canadel styling better too.

Hi there. I don't know if you are still looking at the American Drew series- but we just saw some this weekend. We too were interested in the series, as I had seen it online. We did however, want to see if for ourselves. The nearest store that had it on display was over 60 miles away from Manhattan. To our surprise, it was extremely well made- this was from the same profile line- but the Camden black series. My husband was shocked by the quality. A few places in North Carolina a quoted us incredibly good prices, and this local place said to call him when we needed it, and he more than likely could match the prices.

I had looked at the Tribecca line too..it was very nice.. but found the black color on this series, more to my liking.

Verysleepy, I know it's been awhile since you post, but I also recently saw the American Drew Camden (in white) for my kitchen. Did you end up purchasing it? How was the quality? And where did you buy from, and what did you pay, if you don't mind me asking. Thanks!
