If those treasures were mine, or my daughter's, we'd be wearing big gold hoop earrings, a peasant top, kind of an off the shoulder blouse with 3/4 length sleeves and a full skirt hitting about mid-calf.

What size do you wear? Maybe you'll loan them out to a friend if she asks nicely?

I like them. They're very earthy and definitely funky and unique. Come on over to my neck of the woods...Woodstock is a short distance as the crow flies and, as Marisa Tomei said, you'd definitely "blend". That's a compliment because I'm a child of the 60's and I can tell you've got your mojo.

Love the Mongolian boots, sadly I don't think they would look nearly so charming in size 11. Elfin size shoes always look so much cuter. ;)

I was actually appreciating the grain of the oak table...the boots are nice too, but I agree--in a size 9, even, they'd look rather unfortunate. I'm jealous of your tiny feet :)

Fly, the table has just as many flaws as my boots but I am a firm believer in lemon oil. It covers most sins.

I was soooo afraid as I read that you were going to say tights and a long sweater that barely covered your booty. So glad I continued to read and could visualize the look. Definitely not fancy wedding gear but could be fun elsewhere.

On a sad note, my bro had a committment ceremony (I love saying that because he is such a jerk he deserves to be committed-lol!) at a super posh winery hotel. Five star according to travel snob mags. Anyhoo, lovely garden ceremony with a harp. All guests were stylish, very metrosexual male dressing. Bro told photographer to make sure and not take any pictures of anyone wearing ugly clothing (I am not kidding, he said that). Anyhoo, our parents showed up. Dad wearing a casual but nice suit. Mom....... she wore a cotton tshirt material type summer dress. White with floral print, ankle lenght. Sandals, not sexy sandals but real granny things. Her hair was not styled at all. She wore knee highs and you could see them as she joked around waving her skirt. This was a dress you would wear sitting at home watching tv. My Bro mentioned he and partner spent some $500 for each pair of their own shoes for the event. I cannot believe they did not take Mom shopping for a dress. I felt so bad for her.

Now if she had those mongolian boots on.....

I just called my daughter to ask her to honestly describe my fashion style. She said, "How funny. We (my grandkids and her) were just talking about your fashion style the other day. We decided you are 'artist/eclectic'." I asked if that was a good thing. "Oh yes! Much better than the elastic waisted pants with shapeless tee shirt grammy look. We were just saying how many people give up on their style as they get older but you haven't. You have evolved." OK...

Golddust- guess you don't have to worry about your daughter calling Stacey and Clinton. What she said about you was so cool. My mom fits the elastic grammy look, heck my oldest sis is headed that way. They all teased me when I got lowrise jeans when I neared 40. I dress my age with style. I wear a nice slim tshirt with sandals or strappy heals with jeans. Of course right now I am in yoga pants and longlsleeved t and fuzzy socks. If I had to go outside I would throw on the jeans and some cute shoes. I always leave my outside clothes on the washer for ease of putting on. Then back into my comfy inside clothes.

Oh, no he took pictures of poor Mom. Actually, he specifically made sure me, my dh, my two sisters and two nephews were NOT in any pictures. When they called for the family picture the photographer specifically grabbed only our parents even though we were standing right there. Bro did not ask for us to step forward either. During the ceremonly he had his neighbors and their kids hurry and sit up front as family. When we approached the row they just looked away. It is like they went out of their way to not include us. He put us at a table that was not only in the corner but it was about three feet offset from the rest of the evenly spaced tables. Our dad happended to come back to see us all and I guess the photographer forgot her instructions and just saw Dad huggin his three girls and ended up taking one shot. It was the best pic!

Long, sad story with Bro. We had an unfortunate issue that has turned him into a monster with everyone. Time has not softened him and he continues to be mean. I caught him telling someone how "country" our parents are and how he loves to just laugh at how uneducated they are. Guess not dressing Mom up was funny to him.

Hey, maybe he could have used your boots Golddust. I so wanted to step on his fancy shoes just to p$@#$ him off. And it was not like he was saying "these are $500 shoes that we got for a steal on sale". No he wanted it to be known how much they paid.
