Thank you so much for my lovely surprise package. I just KNOW the wild rice will be so much better than any store bought version.

Thank you all for the warm birthday wishes! I've had a good day although it is very hectic at work. My mom and older son came to dinner Sunday night for take-out Chinese. Younger son was at a fishing tournament. Tomorrow I'm leaving for the NC mountains for a long weekend of quilting. It's supposed to rain most of the time, which won't bother us as we mostly sew the whole time. Teresa - who is trying to hold at 59 (which she passed a few years ago!)

Ann - Thank you, the guests left full and that was my price. I like when everyone eats and have a good time. Chase - You had a bright idea with the homemade ketchup, they were perfect pairing for the meats. I will make them again. Dixiedog - This morning we had some frost in the lawn, but when I went to check the tomatoes, it was warmer and sunny and they are still doing fine. I served the food buffet style and everyone served themselves as much as they wanted. Love to have guests and cook for them, if you were living closer, you would also be invited. From the appetizer dish that I don't know how I posted upside down,lol. I was left with puff pastry and for lunch I made more tomatoes. Silvia

Sylvia's Bridal Sampler - SBS. (Why am I posting at 3:30am? We're on the camping/quilting trip and the collie decided it was snuggle time. This may work on a king sized bed but on a camper bed, not so well. He literally pushed me out of bed! I'll give him a few minutes of contented dog snoring time, then kick him out and resume my rightful place.)

Aw it’s so cute! I love it! I’ve never purchased a big tree and have grown the ones I have from entry size or smaller. I just stumbled on a pic of my gold nugget from last year and I was blown away by the growth it has had! It’ll be huge before you know it!

I still haven't used mine! All the confusion prior to and during the big move put it right out of my mind. However, I did bring it with me and will try a pilaf or something on my SBSIL's family soon.

Thank God! When I saw your post my first thought was "did the rice survive the upheavel and move across the nation?" And my second thought was ..... "GASP - was there a divorce involved? Rachel better have gotten THE rice!" LOL
